Topic: RE: 10 wks out What are you eating?
Pretty much anything but eggs! And I LOVED eggs before Haven't tried any beef except ground in things like chili. I made a yummy cheesy enchilada casserole last night with ground turkey (had it again this morning for breakfast!). I drink way more milk than I ever did. I do not think I'm getting in all my protein but I'm TRYING. Also, still working on getting all that fluid in. I used to love plain, cold water but I'm finding it difficult to take in a lot of it. I caved and got some Crystal Light flavors and I'm having more success using it. Does the milk count as part of the 64 ozs or does it have to be non-caloric (seems like I read that somewhere) fluid? I have oatmeal with added protein powder and walnuts most every morning for breakfast. Lotsa cheeses. Tuna salad really agrees with my new tummy. I even ate a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup at Halloween and didn't dump. Almost to onederland! Susan

The user eggface has a lot of puree and regular rny recipes on her website. (She posts on the main board a lot). I have two protein shake recipes on my OH profile that are pretty tasty. There is also a recipe section on the boards. Good luck!

I'm 12 weeks out - eating basically whatever I want unless it has sugar or a lot of carbs - steak is fine if its tender, as are chicken and fish. Rotisserie chicken is really tender, you might want to try that. I eat lots of salads and cooked veggies, some fruit (makes me dump), quite a lot of milk and cheese, and a good amount of meat and sometimes nuts and seeds . I do not drink protein shakes, but I do have an atkins advantage protein bar now and again for the fiber. I get my protein plus extra in almost every day, and stay between 600-1000 calories per day (usually 800-900) . I need to work on adding some whole grains. As far as going out, I mostly eat thai food (tom yum soup and summer rolls) or vietnamese food (pho ga minus the noodles) or I get a piece of grilled meat with veggies or salad. I feel like I am eating healthier than I ever have (and believe it or not, I was always a pretty healthy eater, just larger portions too frequently) and that its definitely reflecting how I feel. My only problem is still getting tired pretty easily, so I'm interested in seeing what my blood work results will say.

10 wks out, what is everyone eating? Beef does me GOOD...I also eat Ribeye steak. Chicken not so Good, I can only eat KFC chicken leg, anything else makes me barf. I'm doing poorly on getting in all my protein, I stopped doing shakes, I KNOW I KNOW this is terrible, I have got to do better, I can Imagine what my hair is going to look like in another month. Look forward to seeing your replies...

Topic: School Project- Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook
Hi Everyone! I Don't post that often, but I was wondering if I could get dome help on a project that I am doing for school. I am collecting recipies for the liquid, soft food, and solid levels of eating after weight loss surgery. I had my surgery about 3 months ago and my mother is going to be getting her surgery in December, so I thought that this would be a fun project for both of us. I need to collect at least fifty recipies for my book. If anyone would like to contribute, please leave me a message!

Topic: RE: migraines anyone?
I suffered with migranes horribly before surgery, fortunately they have cut way down to about 2 a month instead of 2 weekly. I just got my B12 shot today and last month I got a horrible migrane 3 days after my shot so I have to see if they are triggering them. God bless Trish

Topic: RE: eating too much-
Be glad that you are able to eat to some degree. I am 3 months post op and still can only get 3-4 bites in at a time. I have to start adding protien bars because i can't eat enough to get my protien in. Definitely talk to your surgeon if you are worried, better to be safe than sorry. Good luck Trish

Topic: RE: hairloss
I am 3 month and 3 days post op and I am having quite a bit of hair loss. In part because I am struggling to get protien down, I am dumping a lot. Second I can only seem to get 400-600 calories a day. I know I am doing poorly here, but I am trying. I have just given up trying not to lose it it is enevitable. Love Trish
