Surgery date: Sept 12th Starting Weight: 282 Current weight: 241 Current Deit: soft food very low fat and sugar Protein per day: between 50 and 60 Water: about 45, still struggling with this one Calories: between 300-500 Whats the hardest thing so far: Water, very limited diet (crazy Nutritionist LoL) How do you feel: Apparently, A rib was injured during surgery, this just stopped hurting last week. I still have pretty severe cramping on left side due to lack of use because of rib. What is your Favorite Meal: Shredded Carnitos (pork) from Chipotle Mexican Grill (do not tell my nut) What have your family and friends thought so far: They are all still worried sick, we all think I should feel better by now. However they are startin to call me "slim" LoL

I was doing that too. Found out I was eating way too fast, and I'm a slow eater!!! I discovered that I have to eat slo mo.....and chew chew chew. Also, if I sit up as straight as I can, that helps it get into my pouch easier. Go back to doing liquids for a day or so until your stomach settles down. Then try soft foods for a day, then go onto solids. I had to do that about 2-3 weeks ago and haven't had any trouble since. It's definitely a process isn't it!!! Good luck, Donna

I'm in the same boat you are in. I'm nearing the end of my 7th week and so far I have only lost 1 lb. this week. When you're use to losing an avg of 6 lbs. per week, this is quite a shock! However, I did start back to the gym this week and I'm able to eat and drink more now. Maybe our bodies are just freaking out. I've got a broke foot, otherwise my butt would be hitting the pavement about now! Just hang in there. That's what I keep telling myself! It's hard though, especially when you're asked every week how much you've lost. Take care, Donna

Every surgeon is different . My doctor said to eat 6 small meals , or 3 shakes & small meals . Whichever way I get in enough protein . I have had a couple of standstills , too . That's why I don't own a scale . Several years ago my bile duct got blocked by a stone . At first they thought I had hepatitis . I was turning really yellow . The sicker I got the less I could eat . It took them about 2 months until they did a procedure to fix it . I thought for sure I would have lost a mountain of weight . I only lost 8 pounds in two months , with barely any food . Your body goes into starvation mode & doesn't want to let go . Kathy

Hey i did the exact same thing! Everythign i ate or drank felt liek it had to come back up or was stuck so threw up. I figured out what part of my problem was I was eating and drinking too fast! that should not be a problem but you dont think about it and i was takign way too big of bites and everytime i got sick. i noticed when i ate during the day away form my family i did not get sick. but i hurried at night when i was with them. take your time and try to see if that works if not call your dr. they got paid a lot to be of service to you so dont worry about calling them.

Unjury chocolate shake with 8 oz milk and about 3-4 oz. cold brewed coffee Then later morning, maybe a Dannon Carb Control yogurt, or 1 egg omelet with cheese. I tried a hardboiled egg but got this week. Don't think I'll have eggs again for a while.

don't feel alone I am there with you and it seems to get alittle better now that I am on provcide 30mg twice a day. I still have some trouble but it seems to help better than anything else. I have just deceided that if I feel sick I just go with it and get sick then I feel better. If you let your self get sick then you will feel better. Please let me know how you are doing.

Is it really good? Have you ever had Isopure juice? It's not bad. I might try the IDS also. Thanks. ~Michelle
