Hi everyone so we shared some about ourselves let talk about something besides being LOSERS (ya us) How old are you? 52 Are you married or single? Married to the love of my life for 31 years Do you have children? Two - a 27 year old daughter and a 25 year old son. They are my proudest accomplishment. What do you do? For the last 32 years I was an event planner, webmaster and administrative assistant for a nonprofit community organization. I resigned in July and am currently unemployed. How would you describe your personality? I'm can see the bright side of anything and I'm very trusting until someone gives me a reason not to be. Once that trust is betrayed I don't give it again easily. Beach or slopes? I used to practically live at the beach in the summers when I was a teenager. But I haven't been in years. I'm too chicken to ski - I'll wait by the fireplace.

Well you cant give up, you new body wont let you , so get rid of that thought. Did you have a lap band or bypass.,, cause if you had bypass you cant have reflux cause you new pouch dont have acid in it... I hear ya about protein shakes they do suck.. I got some unflavored protein and add it into a drink and although it changes the texure a bit it doesnt taste and that a + for me.. Good luck to you and stay strong

Topic: How long does it take to feel better??!!!!!
I'm 6 weeks out and I'm having problems with reflux and the DR thinks I have an ulcer.Well it's been a week with no relief. I'm happy with the wt lose (start 343 now 303) but I hate the problems that are coming with WLS. It's hard to stay positive when you are not feeling well. I don't think I'm drinking or eating enough and PROTEIN SHAKES SUCK! HELP ME!!!! I don't want to give up but I'm almost at that point:{ Akilah

Topic: RE: Need some Sept surgery sister and brothers for freinds
Is it too late to sign up to be a sister?!?!?! LOL I had my surgery Sept 14th. Doing great so far. Lost 48 altogether. My doctor just released me to try anything and everything except white bread. All the while I am supposed to make good choices. Problem is I am too afraid to eat anything!!!!!!!!! Anyone have the same probs?

Topic: RE: what foods can I eat that are good pureed? very weak,
I was weak the first couple of weeks also. I wasn't getting in nearly enough protein- still struggling with that. I accelerated my program at three weeks to include fish. I get the individually wrapped frozen Tilapia filets and pan fry them with olive oil or Pam. They are very soft and I tolerate them well. A three ounce filet has 21 grams of protein. Maybe you could ask your doctor about this.
