Topic: RE: Am I eating too mcuh?
to me it seems a bit much... for me for example i can only eat about 1/2 of 1 egg with a lil bit of cheese on it and thats it... but the other day i ate almost 1/2 of a grilled cheese sandwich... and yesterday i ate 1 1/2 chicken nuggets and was stuffed... but over 3 hours i was able to get all 4 of the nuggets down...

Anne,
I'm no Dr. but it seems a bit much...
Are you loosing weight? and what does your surgeon say?
I had my RNY on the 19th and I'll have just 1 egg for breakfast w/some cheese.
Lunch & Dinner I'll weigh my protein and limit my total to about 3oz. It's really important to focus on protein and limit your carbs, take your vitamins to balance what you are not getting in from food... Do not eat till you're full (stuffed), as a newbie this feeling may take months to realize as many posts here on OH have indicated. I'm sure your Dr. or Nut have given you guidelines to follow, if not get some ASAP... & keep up your water intake, very important!!!
Good luck,
Art

Topic: RE: One month post-op
Yep - me too. Lost 25 lbs in the first 3 weeks and then nothing the fourth week. I am definitely losing inches though. I finally had my bf put the scale in our locked storage closet and I'm only going to weigh on Saturdays. I was getting way to frustrated by it. I'm loving the way my size 20 jeans fit now though. I couldn't even think about getting in them pre-op.
Topic: RE: third week tiredness
Hi Jane - I DEFINITELY had the third week tiredness. I'm really glad that I didn't try to rush back to work. I'm in my 5th week and I'm feeling really good now - have above average energy.. lots more than I did pre-op anyway. Take those naps and take it easy. You'll be feeling much more peppy soon!

Topic: Am I eating too mcuh?
Hello all! I had open RNY on Sept 25th, and I am wondering if I am eating too much, if that is even possible. I feel like my helpings are larger than other people told me they would be, but yet, I have never gotten sick. Is this possible??
For example, at dinner, I am eating a small square of meat, a cup of mashed potatoes, and then maybe a half-cup of steamed veggies. I don't really feel stuffed, but I stop because I get nervous about throwing up. Is there anyone experiencing this?
Another example: for breakfast, I had 3 eggs (scrambled up) with cheddar cheese on it and a piece of toast. I was full, but not getting that "stuffed" feeling. I was tld that when you eat, you will get that "stuffed" feeling and that's when you should stop.
I just don't know.
I never really feel hungry, just more or less making sure I get my protein and water in. But then, when I am eating, my old habits of "eating because it tastes good" kick in.
If anyone can relate, please give me a shout.
Take care~~
Anne
