I had my surgery one day after you. Last week I had a similar problem. Everyone morning I was nauseous but it seemed to go away during the day. Now since yesterday I have thrown up numerous times from eating - who knows? Water makes me sick too. Maybe this is common. I feel like going back on clear liquids. I decided if the throwing up doesn't stop I will call the dr. Maybe you should do the same. They hear these complaints/issues all the time and would know if it is something we should be seeing the doctor for.

Yes when you are on the liquid diet Amy before the surgery it's almost impossible to be faithful to it. I know I wasn't able to be a Saint while doing it before my surgery on the 29th of Sept. I did slip 3 times but always went back to the liquid diet right after I had my slips. Hopefully you got to your surgery being almost entirely on the liquid diet & did well with the surgery too. Let me know how you are feeling now as I am 14 days out! Phyllis

Topic: RE: I am officially a LOSER
I'm now 14 days out Sharon & I've lost 14 pounds since my surgery on the 29th.....& 27 pounds since I began my journey on March 30th! That's wonderful that you feel so darn well. I do too & only have this wonderful surgery to thank. However be very careful how you chew your food because while eating egg beaters I didn't chew it well enough & also at it too fast & had the dumping syndrome which gave me such cramps & dizziness it was unbelievable! I had to lay down for over 3 hours because of it. How are you doing now & what are you eating? Have you found things to add to your food so it is tastier? Phyllis

I'm 14 days out & would like to know what I can add to my foods to make them taste better? Since I'm now eating n/f cottage cheese.....looking for something to make it tast better. Also want to know what you can add to egg beaters to make them taste better too? Has anyone tried any other foods at this stage & if so what; & what did you add to them for a better taste? Phyllis

Topic: RE: Why are they eating around me??????
HI Seneika.....I'm 14 days out & the first time my husband ate in front of me I thought I would scream but you know once my Dr put me on cottage cheese & I ate it at least 3 times a day "regular" food no longer made me feel upset. Maybe you should be eating more protein because when you do you will see that "regular" food will no longer interest you. Try .... it worked for me. Phyllis

Topic: RE: what foods can I eat that are good pureed? very weak,
Hi Patti, I'm 14 days out & so far haven't attempted to eat anything but my cottage cheese. I did try egg beaters but got the dumping syndrome from it. So you just strated eating some re-fried beans on your own without asking your doctor first? Heck if they stayed down & you enjoyed them; that is wonderful! I think I'm going to try the baby food as well because so far I have tolerated everything I've eaten except the egg beaters. How much baby food did you eat. Have you tried the meat varieties of baby food yet? Would love to know if you did & how it went down? Phyllis

I'm like a lot of you guys. I have lost about 25 pounds and feel like I'm going to mess it up soon. Like, this is too good to be true feeling. Hope we can all keep it up but I keep telling myself this is going to come to a screaching hault when I go on solids. Good luck to everyone as we move into the next stage of our eating.

Topic: Queasy?
I'm almost 1 month out and this week I've felt queasy almost constantly. I wake up feeling this way and am afraid to even drink water. If I do it kind of turns my stomach. I haven't thrown up yet but I am afraid to eat when I should because I'm afraid I will. Anyone a month out experience recurrent queasiness?? Thanks

Hi Ash, I had my surgery on September 7th and I am just up to 25 lbs lost since surgery. I have not gotten back to excersising really because my back went out, but it is starting to feel better and I'm looking forward to hitting the gym. I will come off and do your best to stick to the doctor's orders. I know it's not always easy though! ;) It will come off and as long as we change our habits now, it will never return!!!! Take Care, your doing great! Debbie
