Hi Romona:) I am also having my surgery this Monday. I have been really nervous the last couple of days. Going Thur the whole fear of something happening on the operating table. I guess we all have those fears. I have two small kids and keep thinking of if something was to happen to me how unfair it would be to them. Feeling guilty for taking a chance just to be thin lol. I did read that the risk was no more that each time u get in a car so I just have to tell my self how silly the fear is. Anyhow I'm rambling on lol. GOODLUCK with ur surgery and we should keep each other posted on our progress and experiences. It would be nice to have a lap band buddy :)

Thanks for the good thoughts... my surgery is on Monday. You and the others before you are my heroes!! Give yourself a big hug from all of us coming up for surgery!!

My surgery was Wednesday and I still hurt, mostly in my back. I am hoping it will be better in a few days. That liquid pain medicine is nasty!!!

Welcome home. Children are usually more sensitive than we think. I'm sure Sophia knows a boo boo when she sees it.

I was so glad to see your post but sorry you're still in pain. I'm still praying for you. The worst is behind you....just take it one day, one hour at a time. By this time next week, you'll probably be feeling a lot better.

Topic: Is there a Ds clinic/hospital close to Ottawa/Kingston
I am reading more about DS and I am thinking that this may be a better surgery than the RNY as you are not so restricted but can still lose the weight quickly, Am I right? Does anyone know how much it costs for this surgery is not approved by Ohip? I have a low BMI but am really considering all my options before my BMI gets higher and I feel worse.
