Topic: RE: Sept. 15th
I am doing alright. Getting more and more anxious. Here I am awake at 3 am, after sleeping for 3 hours and cant fall back asleep now ughhh.
Sandy, I as well hope all goes well for your daughter in law. I had no clue which surgery I wanted or was best for me. I have a 58 BMI and when I went to the informational seminar, I had kind of thought about having the Gastric Sleeve done. But I decided that I would let my surgeon make the decision which was best for me since he knew my health status and which would work best for me. In this case, RNY was the best decision for me to lose the most amount of weight with. He told me the sleeve would not allow me to lose enough weight and I would end up with a 2nd surgery to continue to lose the rest, which insurance would not pay for, and the lapband would not allow me to lose enough weight either. Most definitely do your research, but also let your surgeon help you make the decision, because they really do know best.

Bic, Perry and Pinkey, just checking to to see how you all are doing. I'm drinking my drinks and sucking on sugar free lifesavers. 10 days and counting..........
Sandy, I hope everything goes well for your ***** you have an idea which type of WLS you are interested. I know my DR said I was eligable for any since I have a bmi of 41.2 and it was up to me which I felt the most comfortable with. Do alot of research and figure out which YOU feel you can live with long term and discuss that particular one with him/her first to see what their thoughts are on it.
Have a good one!

Topic: Surgery DATE CHANGE - now the 9th
Hi September people,
No longer will I be on Sept. 11 with Dr Hagen, but now I'm going NEXT TUESDAY, Sept. 9th with Dr. Quoc Huynh.
Rollercoaster ride - first they said the 16th, then 5 minutes later the 9th!
ok, better sooner than later!
I'm freaking out!!!.....Dr. Hagen assured me that Dr. Huynh trained with him and he's wonderful.

Topic: RE: worried about liquid diet
Bobbi, I have to agree with you about feeling better. After being on the liquid diet for more than two weeks I feel a lot better (physically) but I sure am missing food (and, no, those Lean Cuisine/Healthy Choice things just don't count! :-)
My emotions are running all over the place. Excited one minute and terrified/anxious the next. Normally when I'm stressed I turn to food, big surprise. Not being able to do that now is maddening.

My surgery is on the 8th, and the only additional item I purchased was baby food prunes. ;)
Good Luck!
