Glad you feel better, they should definitely have given you liquid pain meds though!
WOW wou are down almost 25 pounds - that is amazing. I am only down 11 so far, 245 to 234 as of today. Oh well, I need to be patient I guess but you have lost more than double so I'm jealous, lol!

Hi, I had my RNY on 8/29/08 and I felt the same for about a week. My surgeon even told me that I would probably gain 5 pounds or so while in the hospital because of the IV's. But by the second week I felt a lot better, lighter. I lost 20 pounds by my 2 week post op check up. You will be fine, it will just take a few more days!

i don't know why he didn't give me liquid pain med... but i do have to brake alot of pills down .. and i start my puree on monday yayaya .... i feel great today and i'm down to 225 on the day of my surgery my weight was 249 so that it self bring a smile to my face ... so abby how are you doing? keep in touch ok talk to you later ... yvonne

glad to hear your doing good .. i can't wait myself to go to puree i have to wait until monday according to my doctor but anything will be better then all these liquids.. never thought i would be excited to eat puree but i am ... and good luck on finding a support group ... yvonne

don't feel bad i have been on the scale everyday since my surgery jus****ching i know it not good to do that but i just have to do it ... so i know how you feel ... just don't get upset if you stall on the weight lost.. i hear people get too much in the numbers and not the progress so take care ... and enjoy your new you ... yvonne

That is really exciting. I am scheduled on 09/23/08 as well. I am on my 5 day liquid diet and going ok but it hard if I think about it. It is very much a mental game. Does your dr require you to do a liquid diet? You will have to keep me posted on how you do.
