Topic: Exercise Question
So, is it better to exercise in the morning before you have breakfast following the idea that you will burn more fat as your body hasn't switched over to food fuel yet and also that you will feel less hungry for breakfast...or should you exercise an hour or so after you eat so that you burn what you've just eaten?

Topic: RE: Plateau, anyone?
I seem to hit 2 weeks out of the month where I don't lose a lb and then I pick up again at 1lb per day. It has actually worked out for the best. I have lost 80lbs since surgery and do not have any saggy skin to report. Hang in. It's better to lose slowly.....

Hi Erica,
Sent you an email - it is difficult when the #s aren't coming off as they were at the start - to not get discouraged. Went through another stall a way back and it all made sense at about the 4th - 5th week when the weight just dropped suddenly. HOWEVER, when it is happening it can be very frightening. But, I have to believe that the weight will continue to drop - even if I've had a not so great day with the carbs or the food choices. Sooner or later, the body will catch up and drop the weight. All along, the weight loss has been slow for about 3 weeks, then drops - this latest stall doesn't seem exactly like that. Are you now at an old set point weight from when you were going up the scale? This weight I'm at is an old set point. I am eagerly looking forward to moving beyond this and hope we can both stay encouraged by our successes so far. The scale WILL move again!!!! Hang in there and email me if you feel like it.

Just have to hang in there - cut the salt and get more water ... + exercise + protein. But this is one of my old set points. If/When I get beyond this, I'll be in weight range territory I've not seen for more years than I care to think about. It looks like you're losing really well 357 -> 245. Way to go - feeling better, too, I suppose! Thanks for the encouragement!

Hi Barbara - thanks for your encouraging words. It is scary to wonder that after going through this surgery I won't lose any more weight - but logically - I WILL lose more, darn it. Just have to have more patience and stick with the drill. Hope you are well.

Kiki,
Its a horrible feeling. It is so ironic that we had surgery on the same day and we both have hit a plateau. I feel as if I haven't lost in over 3 wks as well.I felt so good when I bought my scale and it said that I was at 350lbs, meaning I had lost 100lbs. Then it went down to 345lbs and have been their every sense. I am scared to death but i try to ontinue doing daty to day things. I really hope that we point pass this plateau VERY SOON so that we can get back on track. If you would like to talk, please email.

Hi Joann,
Yes it is, but I saw Sherri lives in CA and thought
she might also want to post on that forum to get more responses to her particular question.
