Hi Oct Babies! Surg date: 10/20/04 Pre Surg wt: 245 (or 255) Current wt: 183 Loss: 62 (or 72) Wish I lost more as we all do. I have lost 65 inches total. Went from a size 26/28 to 8/10. I love shopping and also scour the sale racks. I started exercising again and am trying to find a variety of foods (besides cheese and beef jerky) to eat. I love vegies, fruit and soy nuts also. I am struggling to fight off bad habits like snacking and eating late meals. I am anemic and need to boost up my iron, but I feel fine. Hair is falling out (and didn't have that much to begin with), and skin is sagging (well, that's to be expected on an old bird like me!) But it really bothers me that my face looks "tired". Guess I'll need an extreme makeover. LOL Congratualations all! Keep up the great work!

Everyone is doing so well it's hard not to be jealous! I started at 278 on 10/13. I am only down 50lb. I really was hoping to be like everyone else but it just isn't gonna happen like that!

Well, I have been really busy and trying to keep up with the posts anyhow! I am eating pretty much anything except: eggs(can eat whites),dry meat!!!!,chicken, refined sugar, and milk. Miss the milk! Pre- program wt.= 295# at 5'7" pre-surgery wt.= 270# now= 187# I have slacked off the gym this month(been 2 weeks!) and feel so bad!!! Had 2 kids w/flu and 1 husband(which equals both kids!!), then I got it!! Then I fell 3 times in a 10 day period in the snow!! But I really didn't hurt myself!!! What a change. Before the wt. loss I woulda really hurt myself! went from tight 26 to a size Large!!!! My tummy talks too!The kids get a kick outta of it! It's my friend now and I roll with it! I too get headaches and feel it's the lack of fluid. The dizziness just started within the last week or 2. My hair is now cut very, very short; from below the shoulders. I lost pretty mush 2/3 of my hair(thank goodness it was thick!), but the babyhairs are proving new growth! I am a whole new me! Never had short hair before, and haven't seen my upper thighs in years while sitting!! Any one thinking of a Tummy tuck besides me! Janee Cain

Hi, My surgery date was 10/26/04. I had DS in Brazil! I started at 249 pounds Now I weight 171 I have lost 78 pounds total. Gone from size 22-24 down to a size 14. I have lost an entire shoe size and width. I haven't been this small in over 21 years. I have more energy now and my joints do not ache after working all day. I can exercise easier and everyone is starting to really notice the weight loss now. I am so happy I had my surgery. My biggest challenge is trying to get in enough protein and vitamins. My appatite is still not the best, nothing taste the same anymore. I can eat basically anything I want though. I am eating better/healthier foods now than I have in most of my life.
