Topic: RE: How many calories??
Just a little check point for you ... At your weight it seems that you're actually losing weight fairly quickly. I started at 370, lost 10 pre-surgery and, so far, 78 total and had surgery 10/12/04. Also am probably older than you at 51. It seems that you're doing okay. Hope that makes you feel better! For me, my body image and weight images are so distorted, I was losing 5-10 pounds and feeling that I must be gaining - so it is hard to get a reality check. You are looking so much better and I hope feeling better, too!!!

Topic: How many calories??
Hi everyone, this is my first post on here.
I was just wondering how many calories you are all taking in each day on average..I'm a slow loser and my dietitian said that I'n not eating enough.
Who would have ever thought? I was able to get in almost 700 the past two days and just over 700 today. I feel stuffed! YUK!!
Water and protein are not a problem, just the calories. My poor, poor starving body. No wonder I've been losing at a snails pace.

Topic: RE: HELP! Abdominal Workouts?
Curious as to how you acquired your personal trainer...what kind of research did you do, how did you find him/her, etc. Is it very expensive. Do they make a program specificly for you the WLS patient. Very curious as I would also like a personal trainer. Anything you would like to tell me would be great.
Thanks,
Audrey
Topic: What did we eat yesterday??
I had..
B - 1/2 cup atkins triple berry cereal in 1/2 cup carb countdown 2% milk
S - beef jerkey
L - budget gourmet low carb creamy chicken with broccoli (ate 1/2)
D - 4 TBS homemade turkey chili on carb focus black bean and sour cream chips
S - popsicle (not sugarfree...badddd girl)
And one more snack.... 1 piece cheddar crumb coated low carb fish
I was really hungry yesterday....It's that time of the month and I always feel like I am starving! But I made pretty good choices I think except for the popsicle and even that only had 7 carbs so not too bad.
Water wasn't good....40oz

Topic: Types of RNY surgeries:
I am wondering about the types of RNY? Is there more than one type of RNY surgery, and what is the differece? I am aware of the different surgical procedures as for as laproscopic. and envasive. I had the envasive. I saw on a web site two different procedures for the RNY but there were no explanations, one in where the small intestine is connected directly to the pouch, and the other where in addition the end of the duodinum is also conected back into the small intestine. I had the latter of the surgeries. Please correct me if I have this wrong. I am curious. About how many types or variations there are of the RNY surgery.
Thanks Curtis

Topic: RE: What is a Gallblader
Hello Steve:
From the last reply you see that the Galbladder is the organ that produces bile that helps the body digest foods. I had mine removed during surgery, I had a diseased gallbladder for over ten years. I am glad that mine has been removed. It is an organ that we can live without and for those of us that have problems with it I can just say from my experience I am glad that mine was removed. I hope that your results turn out possitive, Curtis
