Thank you.
Its the little things people take for granted that make such a big inpact when you can't do them any longer.
AAHH, to be able to tie my shoes, I know the day will come.

Hello all, I doing great! I feel so much better than I did pre op. I can eat just about anything w/ the exception of bread and sugar. I am able to drink my protien shakes every day, no issues w/ dairy(thank the gods). My water intake is good as well, thank you PROPEL. I have gone back to the gym and am proud of myself for doing so. I am sore the next day but hey,no pain...no gain..or loss in our case. Friends and co workers are really starting to make alot more comments at how different I look. I can hardly keep myself in clothes that fit (at least they are baggy instead of tight). I dont mind though.

Hey everyone it is great to hear that everyone is doing a good job. I have to bow down and say thanks to the lord for bringing me through this surgery with very little problems.
I had my surgery on October 28th, and everything is going really well for me. My beginnig weight was 384 lbs and now I weigh 321 lbs, that is a loss of 63 lbs.
I can pretty much eat anything with the execption of chicken, turkey, and any form of sugar. I sometimes still seem to eat to fast and when I do my body lets me know, I alway end up throwing it back up.
I have really been trying to get my protien in I drink 2 protien shakes a day, I have really found ones that I like they taste like coffee, they are made by advantage it think.
I have started going back to curves and that is really going well for me. I have found that I have a lot more energy now then I have had in a very long time. I really like that I can fit in my bath tub again and get up and down with no problem now.
It feel great to be able to soak my legs after I work out.
Well continue the good work everyone and I hope we can do this again in another couple of months.

Surgery Date: October 19th, 2004
Starting weight: 304
Today's Weight: 222
Total loss thus far: 82LBS!!!
I have been very fortunate from the beginning, I still feel like something is going to go wrong. I have no trouble getting my water in and I can eat basically everything that I want to. For a while I did have some trouble getting all of my protein in, but then I found a liquid protein that works well for me.
I had some interesting shopping experiences today. I went to Kmart to lay away some exercise equipment, which I did. But, I decided to check out thier clothing. They had a clearance rack, so I decided to buy a top and pair of jeans for when they fit. When I got home I tried them on. The top I bought in a size 2x because their tops never seem to run true to size, anyway, to my suprise it fits me well NOW! The jeans I bought in a size 18 and they fit, tight, but they still can be buttoned and zipped and worn if I wanted to! I just can't believe it. Looking at the clothing I thought, Hmmm, It will be a while before I can wear them. I know it happens to us all, but I found it refreshing. I guess it was a little pick-me-up that I needed.
Congratulations to all of us October babies on our fabulous accomplishments! Keep up the great work!

Topic: Fitday 2/2/05
Hey where are all the Fitday posters? I thought we were going to do this on a daily basis?
Anyway....
B - 2 oz teriyaki chicken
S - 6 baby carrots dipped in vinegar
1 oz low fat cheddar cheese
L - 2 oz teriyaki chicken
S - 2 Hershey mini's, protein drink
D - 2 oz teriyaki chicken, 1/2 c cauliflower & lowfat cheese sauce
S - 1 slice light oat & fiber bread, with 1/4 c chicken salad
Totals: 946 cal, 41 fat, 44 carbs, 97 protein
I had leftover chicken teriyaki on a stick from Chinese takeout - they are perfect because they are 2 oz each and easy to eat (not dry) and SOOOO yummy. They are the dark meat though, so the fat was a little high. I am going to try to keep my fat under 30 today..but otherwise, I think yesterday was a good day. No exercise yesterday, but I will hit Curves tonight. Have a great day!
