I absolutely MUST have fiber or I get terribly constipated (sorry if that's TMI) which I never was before. If I avoided it I'd be miserable!!! For awhile I even had to take fiber supplements. Now I just make sure I get a lot of it in my regular diet. I wonder why they would say to avoid it. I'd love to read the article too if you still have it. Corinna Q

Actually I use peanut butter quite a bit. In limited quantities usually just a tablespoon. But I've found that just a tablespoon eaten by itself curbs my hunger and sweet tooth for quite some time. I do not, however, ever use it in a shake because you're quite right, it adds a ton of calories quickly!! Corinna

BAD DAY FOR ME .... i REALLY DIDN'T EAT A LOT JUST crap - HIGH CALORIES junk ! ugh!!!!! too many calories, tooo much fat & carbs NOT ENOUGH water - protein 1) 1754 36%fat 49% carbs 14% protein 2) none 3) daughters b-day - I allowed that to be my EXCUSE for eating crap - STILL it is just an EXCUSE! 4) 32 WATER - 16 GREEN TEA ... NOT GOOD! ythis fews days of posting is really making me see I better start BUCKELING down and get SERIOUS again!!! 5) YES! 6) mini goal - NO GRAZING! - / NOT SO MUCH 7) BIG goal - get back to 142 - TRACKED AND POSTED MY INTAKE EVEN THOUGH i DIDN'T WANT TOO .... NO LIES! 8) I'VE decided that Monday is a better day for me to start and COMPLETE the 5dpt - too much going on this week / weekend for me ... hugs, Britt

I have never heard that???? can you share the atricle? My nut has told me ... 1) it keeps uyou fuller longer 2) it keeps you regular 3) also helps keep your blood sugars normal (I think?) hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I've spent the week coming up with high calorie shakes and foods to prevent weight loss in nursing home patients. The chocolate peanut butter shake has 1070 calories! It was a good reminder to me of just how quickly those calories add up. I know one thing...peanut butter can be dangerous to our weightloss efforts! A lot of the really fattening recipes seemed to include peanut butter! It gave me a whole new perspective! Why wasn't I this creative when Kim was losing too much weight? I have several pages of incredibly high calories recipes now (just in case any of you find yourself in need!) Wanda

Oh, Goodness. What a week. Why does work have to be....well...SO MUCH WORK! I'm impressed with you guys actually tracking your calories. I haven't done that all week. 1.) Not a clue! 2.) According to the website I only burned about 350 calories. It sure felt like more! 3.) No particular successes. 4.) Water intake was excellent. I would say around 100 ounces. 5.) I never fail to take vitamins. That's the easy part of this gig! 6.) Mini goal was to exercise 5 days and I did it. 7.) I failed to have a big goal and that's why I didn't achieve it! You get what you plan for. 8.) Note to self: track those dang calories! Hey, how did the chat go? Sorry I missed it! Wanda
