How long were you on full liquids?

I was on clear liquids in the hospital, then full liquids for 8 days after that. I am now on pureed foods for two weeks, and Friday I move to soft foods. Do you have to wait for your Dr. appointment to move on? Can you call the nutritionist or doctor and tell them you are doing fine and move to pureed? The full liquid stuff was gross to me. I am doing much better on the pureed. Good luck.
