The pictures were so good, thank you for sharing them with us. That was so wonderful of your co-workers to give you the baby shower.
I pray that the rest of the pregnacy goes smoothly for you and that all the your GTT levels will straighten out.

Also as Melissa said in her post, she had to go cold turkey with the carbs I have GOT to do the same thing cause it is all or none with me also. I just have to pray really hard for the will power again that I can do this. I am just so scared

I packed everything back up, after the shower, and after THREE trips to the Durango, got it all loaded and brought home. Hubby then got to eat his baby shower cake the girls sent him, read our "Advice Journal", and then open the presents all over again! He was so tickled.
I'm in the process of writing my Thank You notes now.
Friday, wasn't fun. On Monday the OB called and said my 1 hour GTT was slightly elevated so he wanted me to do the 3 hr GTT. I told him that Dr. Coates' office said I probably wouldn't be able to tolerate it, but I'd give it the college try. I did, and didn't tolerate it. 23 minutes after drinking the glucose, it all came back up. So, now waiting to see if OB just wants me to ***** my finger throughout the day, or do another 1 GTT further along in the pregnacy (we're 30 weeks today), or what. The glucose and subsequent

Okay, baby is signaling it's time for nap. We're going to trudge around the Celtic Faire tomorrow, so have to be well rested. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
And yes, we did gain this week. 3 lbs, after gaining nothing last week. So, we're at 186.6 lbs, starting pregnancy weight was 153.

Seriously, though. Congratulations, Mel. And may you have an uncomplicated surgery and swift recovery. And I so don't envy you the drains. I remember my TWO from breast reduction and ugh!

I just wanted to let you all know that I will be having a lower body lift on April 28th. It will be about 6 hours of OR time. Insurance approved the panni portion and I have to cover the rest, 10k. Gulp. More than I expected to pay but I am still going forth. I need this skin off my abdomen for more than cosmetic reasons, I want those fat cells off me that are waiting to plump back up. They shrink but never go away unless you have surgery to remove them.
I have "adherant" places along my side of my torso (rolls if you will) and several of them.. very much a melted candle look and he has to go up under the skin and cut all the fibrous tisse that is making that affect. He will have to cut all the way up to my breats on each side. Then of course I will have cut along the bikini line and back around the back side and he will have to do additional cuts on the hips as well. My RNY surgery was textbook but my LBL will not be and as he says making me a more complex case... ugh but I am ready and excited to get it done and over with.
I will be off work for 6 weeks and I believe I will have 4 drains, 2 in front and 2 in back. Spend 1-2 days in the hospital.
Exciting :) YES, nervous YES but I will do ok I am sure of it.
