Kelly, nice to see you!  I'm sorry I didn't send you a congratulations after you sent out your wonderful news after Christmas.  Life has been crazy busy here too and I've just been so darned tired.  Can't wait to hear more wedding news from you as things come together for you.

Getting back to basics is hard to start to do but once we get going on it, it sort of kicks in and gets easier.  Carbs are still tough for me but they're starting to get a bit easier to manage.  Drinking enough water instead of coffee is another challenge right now,

Happy New Year to you too!

Woohoo, the weekend is finally here!  Wish I didn't have so much to do, it would be fun to go to bed tonight and not get out of it till Monday morning.  Sleeping would be heavenly, not doing it very much these days.

Got in all my fluids already today, ditto vitamins.  Heavy, heavy exercise day at work today.  I think I overworked my shoulder it has been so sore today.  Hoping to either get in some Pilates or treadmill time this weekend.

Here's eats:

--nf protein latte
--2 homemade tofu muffin tops
--1 whole wheat oat pumpkin muffin
--1 cup 5DPT tofu soup, 3 morningstar farm chik'n nuggets
--another lactaid latte, no protein this time
--about 2 pots of coffee

calories: 1032
carbs: 129
protein: 65
fat: 30

Still haven't had dinner yet.  Am trying to just drink a bunch of decaf coffee and see if I can go without eating but will prob. end up having some turkey and ranch dressing.

How was your day?  Anything exciting going on this weekend?  Our snow has melted enough that I think I can take down some of the outside Christmas lights.  Will be helping DH work on our sad, collapsed metal shed in the backyard.  The night the roof caved in he noticed it pretty quickly and he got the snow off and then sort of popped the roof back up but it needs a tarp now and some supports inside in case we get another beating by Mother Nature.  Luckily, the way our house sits we don't have to worry about flooding and so far our basement is nice and tight.  We know lots of people with leaking or flooded basements.  This has been a crummy few week's worth of weather.

Not that bad a day, Diana.  Hey...you got in a piece of fresh fruit, something I rarely do these days.

I have a question for you: is that brown bread something you made yourself?  If so, could you please post the recipe?

Thank you!

Getting this posted is definitely needed for me, hope you are doing ok.  I'm working at getting the cupboards 'clean' and getting there slowly but surely.  Not as easy keeping a 'clean' kitchen as it was a year ago.

Got in all the vitamins and water today.  Exercise was 8 hrs. on my feet racing at top speed most of the day....very heavy day and I'm exhausted.  Another day just like it on tap for tomorrow.  Here's eats (not proud of these)

--nf protein latte, 5 organic gingersnap cookies
--2 whole wheat oat pumpkin muffins
--a homemade breakfast 'sandwich' made of a la tortilla 50 cal tortilla, 1 small patty of turkey breakfast sausage and 1/4 cup cooked egg beaters then 1 lf mozz stick
--spinach salad w/2 oz chicken, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 pouch ff ital. dressing
--2 servings diet cocoa
--1 pouch 100cal popcorn
--2 pieces of sourdough toast w/2 tsp. sun nut butter, 2 tab. sf jam
--half serving lactaid latte

The totals are staggering for my brain but a good thing to look at, I honestly haven't logged my eats on Sparkpeople even though I've been keeping track of them in my head daily and trying not to let it get out of control.

Calories: 1389
Carbs: 179
Fats: 36
Protein: 108

Been so exhausted lately and gave in to a bread craving tonight but made a conscious, guilt-free decision to eat it and make it my dinner and not a 'cheat'.

Have a good evening and a good day tomorrow!
