Merry Christmas! Hope that you get your internet problem solved soon. It is nice to know you are out there reading and thinking of us, too, even though you can't always connect easily. Give us a reminder when your surgery comes closer so we can keep you in all our prayers here.
Happy New Year and keep up your hard work, you have come so far!

I think I conquered that demon by over feeding it
, now it no longer wants what I gave so much of, LOL!
Isn't it funny, when I see my 4 YO (who is small for his age) eating PB by the spoonful, I know he needs the fats and calories but I also start adding up the #'s in my head. When my 17 YO makes a sandwhich with 2 slices of cheese, ranch dressing and lots o meat...I start adding it up. they do not have weight-problems in the least and goodness knows I am so jealous that they have those young metabolisms!

Wow, you have done great conquering the PB demon....you rock! I definitely understand about not giving that to kids, too much money plus they can definitely benefit from the healthy fats in the real thing. BTW, don't tell my 14 yr. old I said that...I'm always getting onto him about eating too much pb. When he makes a sandwich, he spreads pb on both pieces of bread and then pours on honey, mixes it into each side and then slaps it together. Must be about a two-thousand calorie sandwich!!!!

Amy, there is never a good time of year for what you went through but how sad that you have had to deal with it now especially. Maybe once the New Year is here and all that the media can talk about is health and fitness again then it will be easier for all of us to grab that lifeline and hang on to get ourselves back on track with healthier eating and healthier habits.
I'm so sorry to hear you lost a fallopian tube, too...that is a double blow. I hope that when you get back to trying, if you do, that remaining tube will step up and get the job done for you.
Hugs,
Molly

..."I did drink a protein shake this morning..adn then followed it with a cookie.."
Oh my gosh, thank you for being so human and so wonderful to post that. First, it was lovely to laugh this morning and second...a hug for you since I thought I was the only person out here who did stuff like that.
Hope you have a fun party for NY and then feel ready for getting back on track. I have a turkey thawing in the fridge and am going to cook it up so I have lots and lots of protein to eat starting on the 1st. Gonna try hard to de-carb!

Ya know...I do have a jar of PB2! When I first bought it I tried it, liked it and used it a few times in my protein shake. Don't know why I just put it away and forgot about it! Of course, now I have gotten over my craving and could care less about PB at all, even the thought of it just makes say "Yuck". It is also rather expensive and with three kids in my house I can't see spending that much on PB. Not to mention...they did not like it.

Hi Elaine, hi everybody! Sorry to hear you had a virus and hope that your pouchie will settle down soon. Have you ever been able to try the PB2 peanut butter? Might be something to consider to keep your routine but shave some fat calories from the deliciousness. We now have it at our local military commissary...I was so thrilled to see it that I got four jars the first time just in case it was a fluke.
Christmas was fun but stressful and I didn't eat well, either. Did finally give in and made some sugar-free cookies and sf fudge which of course, I overate. ...sigh.... And most all of us above the Maxon-Dixon line have had bad weather lately and the stress from that has been a bad factor to add to the holidays. (the grocery store 2 blocks away just collapsed from snow load last night) I stayed home from work today from pure fear of the roads. My normal 20-30 minute commute took 1 1/2 hrs. yesterday and I was so relieved to be home that I actually threw my hands up in the air and shouted. The sun is shining and hopefully the roads are thawing a bit before the next storm hits sometime tonight. I can't miss work tomorrow.
TOM today too, I think I may skip weigh-in tomorrow. I just feel that I'm way up from last week and am rather pouty overall. The pity-party won't last long, I promise. Very much looking forward to catching the New Year's Fitness Frenzy that always grips the country, it is a welcome change from the over-indulgence messages of the holidays.
If the weather will give us a break this month, our local support group is supposed to split into two groups and that is an exciting prospect...sure hope the meeting(s) won't get cancelled due to weather like the last one.
Betcha nobody in Spokane next year will be singing 'I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas'. We're sick of the white stuff!

I think we can all understand where you are coming from.
Stupid Christmas butter cookies (ya' know, the ones in the tin?!), stupid homemade fudge, and pretzels dipped in white chocolate!
My only saving grace was that virus I got a couple weeks ago, or I think I would be putting on the pounds. After my post yesterday and I go home and comfy in my sweats I indulged in those stupid butter cookies a time or two. No one else in the house is eating them so why am I?
I am taking them out with the trash tonight!
And then...there is New Years! I have no parties or plans...I do have a 4 YO at home and 2 teens so I will spend mine at home with kids...but after my youngest is in bed I may have a glass or two of wine.

I'm sorry you are going through all this. I can empathize, it truely is one of the most difficult life-experiences to endure when you lose a pregnancy.
You do whatever you need to do to morn. I can say, and it does sound cliche, it does get easier with time. ((((((hugs)))))))
