Topic: HAPPY 2 SURGIVERSARY TO ME

HI DECEMBER GANG
WELL IT IS SO HARD TO BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN 2 YEARS NOW AND HOW FAR I HAVE COME WITHIN THAT TIME BECAUSE LORD KNOWS I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT ON MY OWN IT'S EVEN BEEN HARD WITH THE SURGERY AND THE STRUGGLE ONLY GETS HARDER ( AS WE ALL KNOW).
I HAD MY 2 YEAR CHECK UP YESTERDAY AND THE DR. IS REALLY PLEASED WITH THE PROGRESS ALL OF MY LEVELS LOOK GOOD. SHE SAID, " I BET YOU TAKE YOUR VITAMINS FAITHFULLY DON'T YOU? BECAUSE YOUR LEVELS ARE PERFECT". I SAID, "ABSOLUTELY DO, I MAY NOT ALWAYS EAT GOOD BUT I DO TAKE MY VITAMINS AS DIRECTED CAUSE I'M TOO SCARED NOT TOO.
SHE DID TELL ME I NEED TO GET MORE WATER IN, I AM HAVING A TERRIBLE TIME WITH THAT EVEN WITH CRYSTAL LITE ECT....
HAVE A BLESSED DAY

Good Morning!
I only managed to get 10 min out of me on the elliptical yesterday. My 4 YO was refusing to go to sleep and kept wanting this or that and getting up to ask for everything under the sun. I finally just had to give it up and deal with it. I hate stopping and starting again every few minutes. And it was very frustrating last night.
This am I also rebelled against the protein shake. Don't know why...just did not feel like it. Wanted to chew on some food.
B- banana light yogurt w/ granola
S- coffee-SF creamer and a rice cake w/ PB
L- chicken veggie soup
S- protein balls
D- more chicken veggie soup (I think I am gonna have to freeze what is left now)
S- yogurt w/ granola
Have a good-un!

Just wanted to give you a little encouragement.
It is a good thing to get everything checked out and make sure all is what and where it should be.
In the mean time...
Not that I am any expert, by any means, but can I make a few suggestions?
As someone who started out with a higher BMI I understand you struggle. I fight it everyday. I could so easily eat around my surgery. I do have trouble with tougher meats or too dry but I also know what sits well and could eat a lot of the "easy" foods if I snacked all day.
Get a little notebook you can carry in your purse or pocket and just right down what you are eating and how much. I have tried the on-line journals (am a member of sparkpeople, fitday, and the daily plate) but logging on seeral times a day gets to be too much for me. The little notebook is my saving grace. In fact, I write out what I am going to eat for the day (also post it here) and then check it off as I go. I feel like I accomplished something and if I go off-course I write that down too.
Just start there so you can see after a week what it is you are eating and how much. You may find you are eating things that are "easy" and tehrefor too much of them or maybe too many white-carbs and not enough protein, etc, etc. Once it is written down there is no denying it.
This little journal may also help the doctor when you go in to see if there is a mechanical problem.

Great results, Molly!!!!
well, I can only report that, as of today, I'm back to 133 even though i'm PMSing and bloated like crazy. all i want to do is get back to low 120s by New Years (i'm only 5'4) ---ive been trying to exercise (well, all i do is walk/run with my dog for about 3 miles/day but i need to start going to the gym again). i spend a lot of time with my wonderfull boyfriend of 7 months but he has a fatal flaw---he thinks i'm beautiful no matter whether i gain or loose 10 or 20 lbs:)
Also, he is a gourmet chef (well, he is actually is business management but cooks on a pro level) and, i swear, he is trying to feed me to death:)
aside from that, we do tend to go out a few times a week and, while i try to order healthier choices and doggie bag when i'm full, there are always hidden (or not so hidden calories). an obvious example is going to a bar or a jazz club to listen to a band: sure, i can order a glass or water or a diet coke but, after all, i'm european and love my wine (he always drives, of course). i guess all is good in moderation and i'm technically still 12lbs below being even "sligtly overweight" (or 25 BMI) for my height. but i know i feel my best when i', in the low 120s (if for no other reason, it gives me some re-gain coushin plus i have a pair or two of 24 waist or size zero designer jeans i bought myself back in march, when i was about 10 lbs thinner as a WLS reward that i really miss wearing.) :)

Hey Molly,
I know what you are saying about it being to soon i think that i may go to a gastroentrologist and see if they can do a scope and check the size of my pouch out. And I didn't mean to make it sound like i didnt feel like the 150 was an accomplishment. I am very glad for having lost it everytime I am able to walk somewhere, do something, or I am able to fit into somewhere or something that I wasn't before I think to myself just think you wouldn't have been able to do this 2 years ago and I am greatful i don't know if its my imagination or if I have stretched my pouch or not I just want to know what I need to do to get back on track.
Molly I am terrified that i will go back to were i was and i cant stand to think that I could possibly go back that why I am trying to make sure that everything is ok if you have any suggestions please help.
