Congrats! How hot are your summers? That was my worry here.. pregnant in 105 degree heat. Thankfully, I missed that bullet.

Yeah, I usually weigh everyday but lately even that isn't a deterent.. I find it making me more anxious. I am wanting to get to where it is once a week and going by the feel of clothes but who knows this just may not work for me. I retain 5 lbs of fluid in teh nights I work nights. Seriously, its like my body is rebelling.. then by mid week its off and then some if I am watching it closely. This is why part of me would like to go to once a week b/c i have seen the same pattern for two years now with the water retention with my screwed up work schedule. I think we all have to do what works for us.
Hugs, Melissa

Funny the things we do to get in that little bit of extra work! I use to avoid the extra work at all costs. Like hunting for the closest parking spot...now I don't care where I park I just park it.
My surgeon encourages weighing every day after the first year. First thing in the AM. I think doing this for the last year has desinsitzed me a bit. Maybe that is why the little fluctuations up and down don't bother me from day to day. I think it also helps keep me centered. PRE-WLS I use to avoid the scale at all costs and only weighed if I had to at the Dr. office. Now, weighing everyday reminds me of what I need to do to keep on track.
Weighing everyday does become an OCD for some people or frustrates them to no end and I can't blame them. I just do it because I never want to be the old-me that avoided the scale because I knew it was going to say something I did not like.

Oh that brings back old WW memories. We used to take a diet root beer, throw it in the blender with a packet of sweetener, 1/3 cup nonfat milk powder (hey...extra protein!) and ice. Cru**** up and you have a WW mock rootbeer float. Yours sounds much creamier tasting.
But....I will have to decline on it too. Soda's, even flat, are just on my no-go list these days and I don't want to start back up on them.
But I do have some sf Davinci syrup in rootbeer.....
