Topic: RE: Hello All
Not really complaining here... but I just found out that the 2 new leaders for my After 1 Year Support Group are not Bariatric Patients. One was a head nurse on the Bariatric floor, which is a relief. I'll have to find out more about the other leader. The Head of the program has had a revision and promised to pop-in from time to time to add from her experiences. I missed last months group, but received the hand-outs later. I like a bit of free-discussion time; rather than a fully topic guided session.
Melissa, Your group is going to go Ga-Ga over having an actual Bariatric Leader! You Rock!

Numbers look good, Ladies! Glad to hear that all is well and that naps are being taken... Keep pushing toward your goals, as the Honeymoon doesn't have to end IF you keep the "love" (of thin) alive!
I dropped to my lowest.. even with a 2nd visit from Auntie, which should have me "up" at least 2#. Eats are in the 2000 cal range / day... and MOVES not what they could be... basic walking in the market doesn't count.... I've lost a lot of sleep lately with too much on my mind.
My Nutritionist talked to me briefly about fat soluble vitamins... A, D, E, K. I'm taking supplements for A and D. He mentioned something that I haven't heard before... that around 24 - 36 months these vitamins are absorbed better and patients need to monitor their calories so that they don't gain weight, which easier to do after the increased absorption. It's always something!

Hope you two slept well and are having a nice day today. Sunny and pretty here but we have a cold front on the way. Time to turn on the heater, I think! Coffee is brewing (decaf) and I'm ready for a nice, hot cup. Here's stats...didn't do stellar but it is ok.

Gonna have some decaf, take a nap and then contemplate either sewing or the treadmill. Hmm...wonder which will win?

Sorry about the Loss your $$$ has taken in the decline. I see your point...
BTW, I was basically saying "ask the hospital directly... same thing with asking the Doc... to "drop their pants"... I mean rate FOR you due to your cir****tances ... or agree to give you a no interest payment plan, which might have to be repaid quicker than a typical loan, but would save you $$$. What the heck... It's probably worth asking... most they can do is laugh and shake their heads "NO".
Negotiate your own $$$... and deals...
Whatever you do money wise, I'm sure the PS results will be well worth it!

After insurance kicks in and they "adjust the bill" I still have a $4000 out of pocket expense to pay. So my portion is $4000 no matter what the insurance negotiates.
At the rate my 401k is declining (have lost 30% in the last 6-9 months) I might as well use my own money to cover the OOP and then re-pay myslef plus interest. I'd much rather do that then watch my 401k continue to lose money and have absolutely nothing to show for it. Not to mention getting a signature loan or medical loan would cost me more in interest than borrowing against myself.
KWIM?

Ro,
your hair lookd beautiful on your pic. so i'm trying that Biotin stuff you mentioned.
btw., if you ever wondered why my e-mails have so many typos, i have an excuse (lizzie, my scary hairy german shpherd/baby sheep mix). One day I foolishly left my laptop open and wondered off. Lizziee apparently decided to write a novel or a short story and ripped off half the letters on the keyboard. :)
So while i'm an idiot for leaving my laptop open, i'm not illiterate or a complete moron (i do have a doctorate degree, promise), i'm just going through a "bad typing" stage
love, Nat
p.s. i'm taking your advice and sticking w/ blond highlights

I'm doing mine before I go to bed, because I tend to pass out the minute I get home, anyways.

Baby and I are losing weight still, but think that's just transitioning over for my body. Lord knows I don't have morning sickness and have been eating 6 times a day, or more. Nothing huge, but enough that I should be maintaining, not dropping.
I see the OB/GYN on the 28th, and just had my labs drawn to have a comparison available for that prenatal battery of tests then.
Happy Wednesday. Me and the blueberry are off to bed.

Looks like it was a lot of fun, and sounds like it would have been very cool to be able to see where you were at. There are so many places I'd love to visit, but that requires being cooped up in an airplane for hours untold.

Wait, wait, wait! You are confusing me now...you are just teasing or is there really a suggested order for PS? I've already had breast reduction done (waaaa!) but couldn't get the tt approved back in 2001 when I tried. They'd have a great laugh now if I tried to get approval for an augmentation billed as reconstruction wouldn't they?
My friend from the first surgery group who lost over 200# had her breasts done first, then arms, then legs (if I remember correctly..?..this was a long time ago!) then tt/butt lift. The trouble she had was that she was aenemic and had a terrible time getting her iron levels up between surgeries. She had a lot of trouble from the tt/butt lift...spitting stitches for years, fluid pockets, stuff that didnt heal well and a lot of pain after the surgery. I mean, for years pain. The same dr. who did my BR did her stuff and based on that i wouldn't go back to him. Maybe I just got lucky but still....
