I keep thinking I should order mine as we are using one of the pictures from Vaction (The one that is my new pic) as I like the way my hair turned out that day and it is ALL about the mom:)

Don't have the cards done yet but I did find them when I got out the lights.   Maybe I'll work on them when I take a week off work in November.  Gonna try not to make a bunch of to-do lists for that week...it just gets depressing when the vacation is over and I haven't accomplished everything I wanted to do.  (waaay overambitious lists!)

Hugs backatcha!  My surgeon's nurse was busy like you when they made Sacred Heart a Center of Excellence.   She'd give us updates some months on all the stuff that was going on and it sounded like a huge process.  Like you, she still had to run the support group and be the bariatric coordinator for the surgeons.  (two at that point, three now!)

You aren't still working at the florist too are you?  How in the world could you have time for that?  Yikes!

Glad you are holding even with the weight.  Are you able to get any exercise in for some stress relief?  Hope so.  Besides work the only exercise I've been doing lately is yardwork and some situps.  Not smart!

Have a great week!

Usually I start buying for Christmas at the after Christmas sales.  I have a pine blanket chest with a hasp and padlock on it where I start collecting things as I find them.  This time of year I have a fairly good stash accumulated and then start seperating gifts into sort of piles so I know how I'm doing as far as fairness.  You know?  Also I seperate out the stocking stuffers.  DH and I aren't big wage earners and we enjoy the lifestyle we have but it does mean that I need to get things ahead of time and space out the spending so it doesn't come down to a big crunch at Christmas.  Makes for nice holidays!

The larger your family gets with grandbabies the more your REAL Christmases will return.  There's just something so wonderful about being with children at Christmas and sharing that joy and wonder with them.

Ho ho ho!

Hi!
Sorry I haven't checked in...had two batches of company yesterday after a loooonng day at work.  Whew!!!   Guess who one was?  The developer of the new NBA '09 Nintendo/Wii game that was just released today.  He is a friend of my sister and she brought him over to meet my son and boy, did he impress Sam!

Sorry to hear you are still struggling to keep the weight on, wish I could share some of my excess with you.  I had a freak-out over the weekend...gained up to 146.  I know what it was too, too much eating and not nearly enough water.  For some reason, I am just a terrible water drinker on the weekends.  Gotta get this problem under control!

I feel like you when faced with a lot of food choices out and about...there seems to always be something 'wrong' with what seems to be a yummy thing.  Guess we are just pickier and smarter food consumers now and you are so right about foods that we cook ourselves at home being healthier and tastier.

Love the appliance talk, it is a slight obsession for me and a bad thing to be working retail as I see all the newest things that come out and want, want, want.    (Hence my new crockpot!)  I currently have 6 crockpots in graduating sizes.

"Hi, my name is Molly and I'm a small appliance junkie."

Is there a twelve-step program for that?    My husband would drive me to the meetings.

Oh, I have a new favourite ice cream:  NSA Blue Bunny 'Bunny Tracks'.  Delish AND it makes me sick at around 1/3 cup!  Woohoo!!!  I think it is the only kind I'll buy from now on, it will make my tongue happy and help me control my spoon.

Guess what I found at the commissary today?  Hershey's SUGAR FREE chocolate chips!  Without even tasting them I bought five bags.  Sure hope they are good!  Over the weekend I'll make a batch of Heather's oatmeal cookies and give them a try and let you know.

Paperwork delays are a pain, but the REAL pain is that you are going to have to keep on top of its processing... progress.  It's so easy to slip through the cracks if you don't monitor your requests with most companies. Since you're in the "system", even for 1+ wk, that's a good thing.

The 401K withdrawal, which stops you from saving, must be repaid... or you'll be penalized.  Just a thought... How about negotiating a lower cost / bill with the hospital? ... do the same thing with the surgeon... Insurance companies negotiate costs all of the time, but patients just don't think about trying it.  At the very least you might be able to set up a payment plan, which would allow you to keep your 401K intact.

I get skittish about loans vs negotiating lower prices...   What do you think???

Hi, Nat... I've been black, brown, dark and medium auburn; had it loooonnnngg, short, and  bald! Since I really liked the highlights in your pic... immediately... I'd say go for another set.  Auburn is fun, but it didn't last long (interest wise) for me.  I like to change my hair more than most I think.

I had a second bout of hair loss in January and needed to increase my Biotin (1000 mcg each) level from 1 to 2 pills initially; taken in 1/2 pieces through out the day.  When I wasn't satisfied with 2 pills (still hair all over the bathroom floor) I increased the Biotin to 3 pills daily.  That did the job! My hair stylist joked that I could cut down on the Biotin now....   hair is nice a thick... and growing way to fast...  So I'm back to 2 pills per day and very happy so far.

Thanks so much nat!  *blush*  I think its almost expected that I tell them.. and from my interview, I am pretty sure they know that I would.  I want to be a STRONG patient advocate for our WLS brothers and sisters :)  I want to ensure they are getting the care they deserve and all people involved in their care are sensitve to all their needs.  Again, thank you for your kind words.. I am getting ready to jump in the shower to go there now, what a wonderful way to start my morning :)  Thanks for making my day.  Love ya back. x0x0x0
