You are very right nancy and I do like to stay busy. Now I can say that my "busy" is because I am truly giving back to my WLS community. I am so blessed. Thanks for the compliments, it means so much... "amazing" not so sure :) But it makes a great start to my Tues morning :) Thank you.. you are so very inspiring yourself, everyone on this board is. I am so proud to be a part of it! Have a good rest of the week doll.
Hugs, Melissa

Girl, OF COURSE, they'll want you around all the pattients!!!!! U R a walking ad for WLS if there ever was one. You may want to choose to share the fact that once upon the time you had a weight problem too (which would, no doub inspire them), or you may choose to be just another beautiful and skinny chick helping them through the surgery process. The choice is yours...and either way.. i would have been blessed to have someone like you involved in my medical treatment.

Ro,
Thanks for the hair complement--I can certainly use it since it's a sore point--I lost A LOT of hair during the rapid weight loss stage tnd the damn thind still fall out more than they should.
What happened is that the pics. w/my dog were taken about a month ago shortly after the last time I went fot highlights. The pics. from Israel are more recent and my hair looks farket in them (roots, fading...top secret is that I'm not a natural blond.)
I'm considering 2 options now...going fot another set of highlights or going crazy and trying to become a redhead (auburn.) what do you think?

Awww.... Such a cutie pie and cuddly! Who could resist that look?
Perhaps it was the goat's milk.... that produced the "sheep-like" disposition. LOL
She's precious! Love her ear just as they are! It must have been a great bonding experience to bottle feed her so young..
Hey, Did you highlight your hair? It looks really good!
Have a good night... and thanks for the pics!

Ro,
you think it's a joke...it's not be afraid be very afraid (well, o.k. she may not know how to bite or bark but SHE WILL LICK YOU TO DEATH, and that's not a threat, it's a promise. i'll try to paste her pics below but if that doeasn't work, i'm posting them on my profile so please click there.
p.s. her ears never stood up but she's almost 2 years old. purebred she ain't but the butest puppy in the world she is. i nursed her w/ goat mik since she was 2 days old so i may be a little biased. cheers, Nat

Hi Melissa,
I hope you don't go even a bit crazy, but isn't it true that the busy just get busier and busier, and I believe we are truly much happier that way. Just don't forget to breathe, at least once and awhile.
You are amazing...and just a bit inspiring still,
nancy

So...I am popping to say HI!
The last time I saw my surgeon was the first week of Sept. Talked about hernia repair and TT and said he would submit to the insurance. I still think it is gonna be a "no" but what can it hurt!?
So here it is 5 weeks later and I have heard nothing.
Was on the phone with resident this AM and he was needing some paperwork from us....long story short he was withdrawing from his 401k and using financial hardship, etc., etc. And, since the $$ in 401k is only dwindling away as stocks plumet...Got me to thinking...
I decided to apply for a medical loan thru my 401k now ($4000 out of pocket will be needed if I do get approved). Then called the docs office to see if they had heard anything.
Paperwork for 401k will come in mail in a week. Dr. office said they sent everything off to the ins. co. 9/26. So, technically they have only had it in their hands a week or week and a half at most.
So things aren't moving fast...but are moving!

But Nat... Look how cute your baby IS... How it all happened that your German shepherd mix came to have the personality of a baby sheep is a well known tale... It all began many moons ago, when an inquisitive pup "frolicked" with a woolly beauty... Natural course and generations later there came to be a gentle shepard, well be it a bit sheepish, with a sweet disposition .
Basically, a love story!
