I think it's all very interesting how we all felt so in control of eating for so long, and now we are noticing that we have to be careful again. My pouch still gets me gassy and quezy (how do you spell that word?), but I can eat lots of slider foods, especially at night. But I also do not ever feel totally out of control like I used to pre-surgery. I can talk to myself and my pouch and make better decisions and then stick to them. This is an amazing thing for me. I used to feel under foods' control, and now I know the control is mine. Thank God and all of you for this,

ROFL.. I love the "if it doesn't have a mother or doesn't grow that way.." line. But it's soooo true! My pouch is starting to "cue" me again. I noticed it the other day when trying to eat a Lean Hot Pocket. About half way through, pouch was like, "Ok.. um.. enough." But I wasn't really paying attention. Then today, at Chili's it let me know! Had about 10 chips with salsa, ate my whole little Caesar salad, and then about 8 bites of soup and pouch was like.. "We're full!" So, put everything to the side, boxed up my soup, and brought it home for lunch tomorr... um, today, apparently.
Ugh, can't keep track of time. Didn't realize it was 1 am.. time to wake up the daughter and feed her, so I can get some sleep before our next meal time.

You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to. It is about YOU not so much about the tool my friend... don't rely on IT or take IT for granted... you have to take the reigns and pull it in again.. you can do this, go back to basics.. protein first, no drinking for an hour after you eat, take your vitamins, move your body, get your veggies in and avoid refined white carbohydrates... clean eating. Your body will thank you for it. Avoid cans or boxes - if it doesn't have a mother or doesn't grow that way then avoid eating it for a while.

I have heard this from many while they are preggo and I find it fascinating, like the body knows what it needs etc... so all normal cues out the window. hmmm
