I have that chart too and instantly thought of it!!  It is wonderful that chart is.  I think I got it off PK's blog one time.  It's in a pdf file so it would have to be attached in an email I think.  I am not that computer savvy to know how to put it here either unless u uploaded it to maybe photobucket or one of those sites first.

I will SOOOOOO be baking this evening.  One minor change I'll make is to substitute unsweetened applesauce for the oil the directions say to use.  That will make it even safer.

(Luckily this only makes an 8x8" pan so it is even safe to have in the house!)

Mercy...are you as tired as I am?  Can't figure out if this is because of what I eat, how I (don't) sleep, my age, maybe becoming pre-menopausal, my job, my life stress....?????   How is it that i can at times of the day be overflowing with energy and then totally fizzle out so completely so fast?  Shee**** is confusing.

Excellent explanation!  I have  neat chart from my nut. that diagrams out just exactly what vitamins and minerals get absorbed the most in which places but don't have a clue how to scan it and change the file over in a way so as to be able to post it here.

Yup.  It even increased several life problems too.  My fat was a good insulator in many, many ways.   Like you, I'd have my rny again too because I just didn't want the rest of my life to be a: short and b: riddled with health problems.

Good job getting to the gym!!!  Getting back on a regular basis may be too much pressure.  Why not set a goal of just getting there a certain number of times within the next 30 days?  Then you can do a bunch at once, a little at a time, etc, without so much guilt. 

I forgot to post my weight last week but it wasn't anything to be proud of anyway...I was up 2 pounds and didn't even change my ticker.  Went from 144 to 146.  This week am down a smidge and that is good.  Will try to hold the line or even maybe lose a little more but it is PMS week so I'm trying not to stress about it.

Let's all hang in there, at least spring is arriving a bit at a time and we can get outside more to move our fannies.

Hi!  How nice to see you again!  As far as not being able to eat as much in the last few weeks...is this with every meal or sort of a mostly on- and sometimes off-again thing?  If it is most of the time then I'd get back to measuring your intake to see just how much is going down and keep an eye on it in case it turns out to be a stricture.  There is a lady in my support group who is 4 years out and she still keeps getting these recurring strictures. 

For me, the days of getting full off small amounts are few and far between but very much appreciated.  I think too many times I'm selecting foods that are sliders and go down too easily but if it is more dense and dry then the pouch fills up on less.  So glad everything still 'works' when I make it.

So weird but I totally understand you on the number thing!  Those thresholds really mess with our heads but I'm glad you are able to be happy with your numbers again.  Hope that the job interviewing paid off, be sure to let us know the good news when it happens. 

The only reason I've stuck with long term exercising is because it is my job.   That  and the economy is one thing that keeps me afraid of looking for a different job.  I know me well enough to know that without this heavy labor I probably wouldn't come home and exercise so at least if I stay where I am I know there is a workout every day. 

Trying not to eat like one of those elephants myself this week.  Man, it would be so much easier to just give in sometimes.  All it took for a little encouragement was accidentally grabbing a too-small pair of jeans a few days ago and after trying to cram my *ss into them I had to recognize that I've just got to cut back on calories. 

Hey, speaking of making excuses: my 15-yr. old has a great one that I haven't been successful yet at getting around.  The world is going to end in 2012 according to the Mayan calendar so why does he have to worry about his weight/health/future/finances/etc. 

Hang in there with the exercise.
