I am 3 months post op and am doing pretty good. I haven't found any food that makes me sick, but have had the dry heves twice in the last 4 days and can't figure out why. i am down 53lbs and am loving every minute of the new me. It has been at least 15 years since I was this weight. I do have a problem thinking that this weight should come off faster? Any support is appriecated.

I had my RNY 12/19/2007. Pre surgery I was 358lbs and yesterday I weighed in at 282lbs, down 76lbs since my surgery and 108lbs down since my biggest of 390lbs back in April 2007. My BP, fasting sugar, cholesterol, is all normal and I no longer have to use my CPAP machine. I workout 5 times a week. 2 days a week I do kettlebell training. Then the other 3 I workout with a personal trainer doing cardio/weight training/yoga. I plan to join a mixed martial arts school next month and hope to be competing in a year. I am doing great with food and am getting in about 100-120gms of protein. Everyone is doing great on here and I am so thankful for the knowledge and support I have received from this website.

I do like the Lean Pockets and Lean Pocket Subs ... although I can typically only eat half (and the other half about 2 hours later). That is about 15g of protein. I made veal marsala tonight for dinner ... it was good but the veal was kinda tough so it was hard to heat. We generally eat a lot of fish or chicken so I can try to get my protein in. All a learning experience ... lol 55lbs is awesome. Feels good huh?!? I can't believe I'm in my 16's again. Feels so awesome!!

Easy way out???? Hell no...I don't think my lifestyle is EASY!!!! Anyone who says that should lead our life for 1 week and then we'll see if they think it's SO EASY!

I had my RNY on 12/6 and posted my pics on my profile.Down 52 lbs since surgery. Down 3 sizes...started out at size 26/28 and today I'm wearing a size 20 jeans. My scrubs are down to an XL with room to spare. Problems??...only with chicken...can't keep it down. But I can do beef and any kind of steak. YAY!!!!!! Exercise??? Yea 4-5 times/week on the stationary bike. If you would have told THIS GIRL 4 months ago she'd be exercising on a regular basis...would have said..."you're CRAZY". But I LOVE my NEW LIFE and I LOVE MY RONNIE(RNY)

You are doing great. It is really hard to get in the water. I have a tip for the protein.....South Beach Diet makes frozen dinners and wraps they have a lot of protein. I had one today for lunch that had 30 grams of protein. It was really good. It had chicken and broccoli. I had a little trouble getting the wrap down. I weighed today for my 12 weeks. I have lost 55 lbs since surgery. If you try the South Beach Diet meals, let me know if you like them. I looked some coupons online, but didn't find any. Good luck. Keep up the great work.

I hate that. I have heard those remarks too. It really sucks. People just don't understand that it is not easy. We can easily stretch our pouches and not lose any weight. We had to make a drastic decision that changed us forever. We took a big risk to better ourselves. I really don't know what a good remark would be, but to some people it does seem easy. Only we know the truth. Don't let them get to you. Keep up the good work and ignore IGNORANCE!!!!!!!! Take care.

I will be 11 weeks out tomorrow. The last time I weighed I was down 42.6lbs and 4 sizes in clothes. I still struggle with my protein and water ... but try everyday to increase my amounts. I am building up my exercise program on a daily basis so hopefully that will help eliminate all of the stalls I seem to have ... Lets hear your story too

OMG What an ass!!! Sorry you had to go through that. Why do people think that us making a choice to have our insides rearranged is EASY???? I mean we are the ones who will live with this for the rest of our lives ... what is EASY about that???? I probably would have made a comment about his lack of professionalism ... then told him that I thought he was an asshole as I walked out. Sorry chicky
