I was on a 2 week liquid diet clear liquid 48 hours before and fasting the day of. I was given liquids after my surgery I had a upper GI done. Not that I wanted anything but I tried some of it. Hope that helps. jamie

Hello All! It is nice to be talking to people in my same boat! My surgery was December 17th - I think I am down 10 - 14 lbs. I have to say though - I think I should get rid of the scale - I can already see that it could become a problem in the future when my weight loss slows. A carry over from my crazy thinking from the past. I am pretty hungry - I see some people are having puree's - perhaps I will consider moving to a bit of that in a couple of days. Congratulations on all your successes - I look forward having people to talk to all the way through this long process. Jenni

All I can say is time flies. It is hard to believe that my big day is tomorrow. I was originally sceduled for surgery for 1pm, but this evening I got a phone call from the hospital to move my surgery up to 11am. I have done the prep and clear liquid diet today, but my stomach is not very happy is letting me know it by making a lot of noise. It wants food, real food and not broth or jello. It will just have to get used to it. My bag is packed, my mp3 is charged, I have a couple of magazines, note book and pen for writing down thoughts though they may be hazed by drugs. Am I scared? I don't know, ask me tomorrow on my way to the hospital. I am quite calm right now. So, move on over and make room for me cause I will be moving to the loser's bench.
