I had surgery the same day. I have resisted getting on the scale. I go to the surgeon on Thursday so will see how I do then. I am glad I did this as well.

Hi Tamu, This is very interesting information. I am glad you sent it to me. That really sounds like it could be a fact. Did it say anything about how long it lasts?? That would be good to know as well. I never got a manual for my surgery. I have alot of info but nothing about side effects like this smell. Thanks again,
Jeannie

I am 12 days post op and feel better than ever! I have 2 more days of full liquids then go to soft foods. I have found that I do not crave anything and have felt full and totally satisfied since the surgery. It must be mind over matter because my life long battle has finally ended. I hope this feeling stays. I am going to support groups and that helps A LOT!~ Good luck to everyone. Don't worry-the surgery was a piece of celery! Nothing to it. I'm all healed up and ready to begin living my new life! Stacy

Great Genisis!
I am down 12 pounds today, 1-week pot-op. Isn't it fun!
Was it far less pain than you thought it would be? The only time I really feel much discomfort is when I try to bend over to pick something up. I feel great also! I came home Thursday afternoon. My doctor gave me the choice of leaving Wednesday or Thursday, and I decided on the extra day. Any hints you want to share?
Maureen

So happy you are doing well. I am 12 days post op. I don't have scale, but my pants are fitting much better! I feel awesome, also. I totally feel satisfied and no longer think of food every waking moment. I am finding it hard to eat enough protein. I can't even remember to eat! Let me know how you are getting along. Stacy

I was banded on the 12th. What does your surgery entail? Mine was so simple. I could have went home the same day and I could have went back to work the next. Ever since I got home I have had no cravings, no hunger, nothing! I have never been so satisfied. How do you feel? 22 pounds down! That is great! I bet that feels wonderful. I don't have a scale, but my pants fit better. Anyway, have a wonderful holiday season and keep in touch. We need all the support we can get! Stacy

Hi! Congrats on your brave choice and going through with the surgery! I also had mine on 12-12. I don't have a scale so I don't know how much weight I've lost, but my pants are fitting much better. I am so satisfied-ever since I got out of surgery, I have lost my life long food cravings! Are you going to any live support groups? I go to one a month, and have bben invited to another monthly mtg. in my hometown. I think it helps. Well, I wish you all the luck and hope you have a happy and healthy holiday!

I also was banded on the 12th. I am in Northern Minnesota. Everything went way better than I could have ever imagined. I have been home since the 13th and incredibly, I am satisfied and not the least bit hungry. I have been trying so hard to follow the diet. I should be on full liquids for 2 more days than to soft foods. We had Christmas dinner tonight and I totally ate soft foods-only one bite of each, sweet potatoes, stuffing, and wild rice. I didn't have any trouble with the food, so I will probably just keep eating softs. I have had no appetite whatsoever. I have had trouble remembering to eat at all. I feel as though I am getting worn down and weak. Are you having this trouble?I don't have a scale, but my pants fit sooo much better already!
Happy Holidays to you all. Stacy
