Yay, I did it! My surgery was delayed 1.5 hours which seemed like the longest hour ever. Still in hospital and hoping to get discharged tomorrow. Still a little shy on how much to eat so talking it slow. Each day is getting better with less tubes in me!!

Yay...thats the worst part...now the exciting journey begins. By day 9 or 10 I began to feel like myself again.

Do you recall, I am on full fluids for two weeks, how much soup did you eat at a time? Did you wait half am hour before drinking or is that more for when I start in solids?

I ate about a quarter cup or so and built myself up to a half a cup. I spaced out my drinking and eating so I never ate and drank at the same time. It helps you get used to it later when you are on solids.

The dietician just left so got my answers. Going to be a huge change that's for sure but I am ready for it!

You'll do fine!  Just concentrate on protein first and water (hydration).  The rest will come.
