Topic: Surgery Scheduled

Surgery is Scheduled for March 18th. I'm so flippin nervous. I was up til 3am this morning reading everything I could and watching youtube videos on all the complications that could arise. Probably not such a good idea but I like to be informed, not that I didn't do my research before I booked it. If complications arise after I return home will the hospitals even care for me and is it covered? Would love to chat with others from Alberta about their experiences. Thank you.

Topic: RE: Thigh lift

Well I had the lift done last Tuesday, talk about pain.  WOW, well to be more exact its more a constant firey burn than pain, but after hours and hours of constant burn the two melt in to one.  Im not quite sure I am happy I had it done, my follow up is Monday, so lets see what the doc has to say.  Maybe in a month or 2 I will be happy, but right now I just wish someone could shoot me.  :)

I had my reconstrive surgery done in Montreal 3 years ago (everything was covered except the breast lift), as I am a former Montrealler.  The breasts weren't covered, and I took my receipt and filled the whole amount on my income tax, and got appropriate reimbursement.  Here in AB no reconstruction is covered, and I just had my thighs done last week in Lethbridge.  Im just going to file the whole 7200$ this time.  Good luck, sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hi Robyn

I see you live in Fort McMurray.  Where do you get your protein shakes from?  I'm going there next week and I just released the closest Costco is in Edmonton.  I only drink Premier protein.

Topic: Fort McMurray HELP

Hi Everyone

I'm Diane pretty much a newbie.  Had my surgery two months ago.  Well I have a trip planned for Fort McMurray Albert on Feb 27th. and found out that the closest Costco to buy my protein shakes is in Edmonton.  PLEASE help.  I really not interested in doing the powered stuff.  It just makes me puke.

Anyone interested in picking up an extra case when you go this weekend?

Any suggestions?

Diane

Good luck!  And if you get your protein powders from Popeye`s, they will provide replacement or store credit if you decide you don`t like the flavour anymore.  They are awesome!!!  So feel free to get something from them with no fear if you don`t like it...just take it back, even if opened!
