Good luck with the surgery I had mine done in March 2007, and have never looked back.  I have had the tummy tuck, arm lift and breast lift, and Tuesday the 11th I am finally getting my ugly thighs done.  Finally I will be able to wear a bathing suit.  I am also an RN, if you need anything at all please feel free to contact me.  If you are in the Calgary area I would be glad to help you along with any part of your journey.

Topic: Thigh lift

Hi everyone, Im having a thigh lift on Tuesday in Lethbridge.  Has anyone had it done there, if so do you know if you are discharged (im staying overnight by the way) with any drains? and then would anyone know how long after surgery is the follow up with the doc?  I live in Calgary and have to make all the arrangements,

thanks so very much

I wanted to be least intrusive with my body and requested the lap band.  However Alberta health services is not fond of them and doing it less as they are not overly successful and far too many problems.  I'm now thinking about the sleeve.  I want the to hear from you folks the good, bad and ugly and is there anyone who has regrets? TIA.

I had my surgery and it appears to be successful- I have had normal or almost normal blood sugars since post op- AMAZING considering I was on 300 units of insulin a day and on max dose of Metformin.  I am tkaing 15 units of NPH twice a day now and 100mg Metformin and my sugars are still stabilizinf downwards so may get less doages yet!  So far so good...will update as I go.

Topic: RE: A Lighter Me

I am having the surgery on Febuary 26. I ended up going with a different doctor and company, A Lighter Me started to make me very nervous so I decided to find someone else I am having surgery through Specialized Bariatrics Inc. they work out of the same hospital in tijauna (Hospital Mi Doctor).

I hope everything goes well for you and wish you all the best.

Im really interested in going a similar route, Do you think you could give me more information about your experiance getting weightloss surgery through a private surgeon? And some more information on getting some of the cost reimbursed by AHC.
