Folks:
As some of you may know, AHS distributed a survey to gather feedback on post surgical support needs of all WLS patients in Alberta.
I have been provided with the Overview and Summary information, which can be found in the Edmonton Bariatric Support Group Facebook Forum at https://www.facebook.com/groups/469026893188376/530052410419 157/. You will need to become a member to access this information.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Cheers!

I got 3 weeks notice but I think most people get 6 weeks notice.
If you do not have enough time to schedule childcare ask for a different date. They would give you the next available date
Just wondering how much notice the Edmonton weight wise clinic usually gives before surgery? Do you find out a month before or a couple weeks before? I was approved in April and haven't received a call yet for surgery.. It's difficult planning child care arrangements as I have no idea how much notice they give. Any info would be helpful. Thanks everyone!
That's true, most don't get to normal BMI, but you CAN get there! Just keep the pedal to the metal, with weight loss mode uppermost in your mind at all times. Good for you

Congratulations! You are doing very well. Your happiness just radiates through your post. Be proud!
Just had to share my BMI has dipped into the 26's. My 1 year check up went great last Thursday and all the staff including the doctor were pleased. I know the dietitian said not many people are in the normal BMI range but I WILL be...still have a few pounds to go but I know I will get there.
My panni consult is in February so I am super excited. Life is good and I have so much to be thankful for.
Wishing everyone well on their journey.
