Hi there,
I've already seen Dr. Kwon but now this morning I received a call from Weight Wise saying that Dr. Modi wanted to see me also. Is this usual? The receptionist didn't know why Dr. Modi wanted to see me and I can't think of any reasons also.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Hi to All . .
I am searching for anyone who has either had surgery in Mexico or knows someone. I am considering having the surgery there. I have spent hours researching the hospitals , doctors and type of surgeries that are performed in Mexico.. I'm feeling confident as I have spoken with the BBB. the American & Canadian medical board of doctors practicing bariatric surgeries and I get the same feedback. Mexico is just as safe as having the sleeve surgery done here or in TO. . According to the statistics close to 10,000.00 people arrive from Canada and the US to have the surgery done in Mexico.. The cost and time frame would be my thoughts to why so many head south of the border .
Slim band in TO wanted $16,000.00 for surgery. I was shocked.
I am interested in hearing some feed back from someone who may have done the surgery down south.
Talk soon

In total ... 5 year wait BUT that was the waitlist, the 12 weeks of classes and then I had a Lapband 2 1/2 year ago. After 18 months of agony I had the band removed last December, healed for 6 months, saw the surgeon in June and got an August 26 surgery date!!! Sounds like a long and winding road .., and it was! I'm still in hospital (day 4 post-op) but am pretty sure I'll go home today.
Surgery was done at Peter lougheed Hospital in Calgary and I went through the weight management program.
Right now I still feel pretty crummy but am hoping in a few weeks I will start to see the benefits of this journey!!

Feel free to ask me anything you'd like. There are so many on this forum that have had great successes on their journeys. They have been a great inspiration to me.

Congrats! I wish you a speedy recovery!
