I wish you all the best for your surgery in Mexico!
I didn't have the same experience as you and really appreciate the team at the WW Clinic in Edmonton. I really like that I have to go to the classes and learn how to do things better.
I get the frustration, but post surgery, I think my WW team was exceptional and I am very grateful.

I missed your second question - they called me the first week in August to offer me a range of dates!

In the Edmonton clinic, I was approved on November 21, 2013 and I got offered a date of September 2, 2014. They did say in the clinic that my wait would be 9-12 months. I say offered, because I couldn't have surgery on that date; I had RNY on September 30, 2014.
It is really hard to be patient, but keep up the hard work you've doing.
What clinic are you with? I'm also curious to know what the time line is. I'm wondering also how much notice you get for the actual surgery date. Is it a few weeks? Or a month or two? Or like days? Haha

It's hard to wait isn't it. I'm currently in the program no idea when surgery will be. But I've had my first meeting the the head nurse and she thinks I'm an excellent candidate. They're so great there! Both Shelley and I did a study called evolution. If you can get into the study they steam line the wait and you seem to get into the clinic faster. Worth looking into. I emailed them and volunteered myself, smartest thing I could have done. Just google evolution study and you can read about it. Good luck. Keep us posted!

Just wondering how long it takes after you are approved for the surgery to get an operation date? From there how long from operation date to the actual operation?
So excited but want it now!! Being very impatient ;)
Wow! Congratulations on your weight loss!
I am anxiously waiting for them to call me! My doctor sent in a referral about 2 weeks ago, I am alittle nervous I won't be accepted for surgery because my Bmi is
Hi there! I had a great experience at Red Deer.
I had had my first appointment in September... Completed all appointments and such and Dec 16th got approved for surgery by Dr. Ferris. He was off for all of January and my surgery was on April 9th. Since then I have been up and down... Some days questioned what the hell I did... But now... I would do it all over again without a second thought.
There are tough days and I understand well how they say this is a tool and it's so important to do all they ask of you and learn the changes needed. I am down over 100 pounds since the start of my journey. Still consistently losing but it is slowing down now. I have around 20 or so more to go I guess... I didn't really set any number goal for myself... I just want to be fit and healthy.
Red Deer staff were and are amazing!! I can't say enough about their compassion, wisdom and support. So much of my success is due to their expertise!

Hi Shelly! Thanks for sharing your story !
I was wondering how you are doing now? And what was your waiting time?
