Topic: at a standstill at 5 months out!
I had surgery November 29th and have lost 67 pounds. But for the last 3 weeks the scale has barely moved. I am drinking my protein drink, Isopure, and eating my protein at meals. I try to get 60 grams of protein a day. Is that enough? I drink my 64 ounces of water and take my vitamins and supplements. Is this normal so soon into the journey? Anything I can to do help the loss?

Topic: Post Ops; Have you done diet pills? post op
I know this sounds weird but has anyone done diet pills after wls? i have 15 more pounds and it is starting to seem like maybe I won't make it. After losing 130 pounds I'm still considered overweight. Sure I'm healthier now - but I want it all I am actually steppn' up my jogging. However, if I have not reached my goal by summer end I'm thinking about asking my pc for a diet pill. I'm hoping she won't laugh me out of the office. I'm also a little concerned about the effects of that kind of drug on my liver, kidneys.... I guess if I do it short term under doc supervision though it might be ok. Has anyone out there done this post op?

Topic: Carnie Fans?
I'm a big Carnie fan and was wondering what the latest is on her. I don't have tv so I miss out on a lot of celebrity comings and goings. Has she had her baby yet? What's new with her. I wish she was still at Spotlight Hlth because she would update that site occasionally. When I go to her site it is always way old news.

Topic: PLEASE SUPPORT MISS CAROLYN....
Miss Carolyn is a lovely 71 year old lady from Forest, MS, who has been attempting to have WLS, but is hearing now that due to medical conditions and age, it may not be a possiblity for her. She is very discouraged and upset. She does not have a computer and will not be able to respond, but I wanted her to know that people from all over the country were praying for her. Please go by her page and give her some love and support. I will print it out and get it to her. Thank you so much! And please remember her in your prayers. Thanks a bazillion. Topic: Cheryl and I set a date. July 31st Cruise to Alaska.
Greetings,

To all of you who were so loving to us when we posted our proposal I thought it only fitting that we should follow-up with our wedding day plans.

We plan to be married aboard the Princess Cruise to Alaska. July 31st. The date has special meaning to us both as that is Cheryl's Birthday and my 3 year Anniversary of my RNY surgery. How fitting for us to dedicate our lives to each other on such a special day.

A few persons have asked us about registry information etc. In accordance with the MTOS we will not post our registry informaiton on the boards however, if you wish we will be glad to answer you in email.

Thank you so much for being a part of our special day.

P.S. Thank you Cheryl for saying yes! I wasn't nervous...[NOT]

Sincerely,

Bo McCoy

P.S.S. Should we serve Cheesecake at our reception? [That was for anyone who has ever been to an event!]

A Goose Story When you see geese heading south flying along in a "V" formation, you might be interested in knowing what science has discovered about why they fly that way. It has been learned that as each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in a *V* formation, the whole flock adds at least 71% greater flying range. People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier, because they are travelling on the thrust of one another. Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to do it alone, and quickly gets into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front. (If we have as much sense as a goose, we will stay in formation with those who are headed the same way we are going.) When the lead goose gets tired, he rotates back in the wing and another goose flies point. It pays to take turns doing hard jobs - with people or with geese flying south. The geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed. (What do we say when we honk from behind?) Finally, when a goose gets sick, or is wounded by gun shots and falls out, two geese fall out of formation and follow him down to help and protect him. They stay with him until he is either able to fly or until he is dead, and they then launch out on their own or with another formation to catch up with the group. If we have the sense of a goose, we will stand by each other like that. May there be a miracle in YOUR life today and may you have the EYES to see it. Jackie
