Hi, My daughter was telling me the it is dark 6 months out of the year there from AM to PM, and that the other 6 months it is day light from AM to PM. Now I knew about the day light for some months out of the year but I was not sure about the length of time or that they flip like that 6 and 6. So my question is: is she right? Thanks, Sherrie

Hi Tracy~ I have a friend here in the Anchorage area who was also banded in Germany last year; her husband was banded in Italy. They live here but he works in Europe. Anyway, he gets fills in Europe but she has her fills here. She saw Dr. Cable at HealthSouth, 907-550-6100. He's pricey tho--$475 per fill and she said he wanted CASH. I was banded Nov. 25th in Mexico (self-pay) and am in the process of gathering all the documents Dr. Todd wants to do the fills. He has more experience that Dr. Cable, and I hope to get Aetna insurance to pay for them. Be sure to bring ALL of your documents with you from Germany including your pre-op reports, hosptial records, and surgical report, written in English. Dr. Todd wants all of those documents to look over before he will consider taking you on as a patient. He is the most experienced bariatric surgeon in Anchorage and does all of the fills himself. Each morning, I take Centrum Silver (I'm 51), and then I take Wal-Mart's Spring Valley brands of biotin, magnesium, B-12, Omega 3 Fish oils, and Calcium Citrate. I like the natural vitamins that are taken several times a day. Oh, and the chewable vitamin C is delicious!!!
