Home from Tannehill~
WOW~ What a beautiful day it has been. Oh my goodness at the glory of God's handiwork. The weather was perfect. EVERYTHING was PERFECT. Jill, her boyfriend Justin, Christian and I all went and had a great time together. We walked and walked and walked and looked and looked and looked. I did find Christian a nice warm winter jacket for $3. It was cool when we got there and I happened to find that jacket right when we got there. It warmed up enough to shed the jacket shortly after, but he didn't have a jacket for winter anyway. It's not a real heavy one, but one that will be quite useful. I was sad they didn't have any boiled peanuts and were out of fresh pork skins when we got there to get some before we left. We had a great time looking at all the fall and halloween decorations in the park as we drove through a couple of times. Christian LOVED them. We got out and walked a bit too. Christian wanted to walk too, and see and feel of everything. He was so much fun and I got some good pictures too. I can't wait to sit down and take a look at them all.
I hope you all had a very blessed and peaceful Saturday as well.
I hope you all had a very blessed and peaceful Saturday as well.
Tannehill is a beautiful state park. Every third weekend of each month they have TRADE DAYS.....sorta like a HUGE flea market of sorts. They've got EVERYTHING you can imagine. Gwen, YOU WOULD LOVE IT! Maybe you can plan a trip to visit me next month and we can go that Saturday. Think about it....YOU really would enjoy it. The during October and November people FLOCK into the campgrounds and decorate for fall and halloween. Some will stay the entire 2 months and others will just leave their campers there and go on the weekends. I am uploading some pictures now, so I hope I can share them momentarily. The only thing we missed was the boiled peanuts and fresh porkskins. The train was messed up while we were there and just as we were leaving we heard the whistle, so I guess they got it fixed. I so wanted to take Christian on the train ride. Now, you think about coming this way for trade days next month.
