Hi, My name is Frank and I am from North Carolina.  I had Gastric bypass October 24, 2007.  At the time I weighed 387 pounds and am 5'11".  Mu BMI was 53.9.  Today (Oct 18) my weight is 196 and my BMI is 27.3.  Needless to say I am more than happy.  No longer on insulin or HBP medication.  I am currently working on having a tummy tuck and should be approved soon.  I really enjoy hearing all your success stories and am glad my friend told me about this site.  Congradulations to all you losers and keep up the good work.

I have lost 102 lbs. no tummy tuck for me. Having WLS is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I can chase all 20 kids around the classroom now!. Have a nice night and a good day tomorrow.Ellen

Welcome Frank and WOW regarding your weight loss. You have done an awesome job!! You'll like the Alabama board....crazy but FUN and friendly people.
I had lap-band In Sept 2007 and have lost about 90 lbs. I've been at a standstill for about a year, all my own doing, but have recently rededicated myself to get 20 more lbs which will get me to my personal goal.

I am from Birmingham AL..I had RNY gastric bypass July 27, 2006..I have lost 118 lbs..am @ my goal..my BMI went from 41 to 23 so now the real work begins. WLS safe my life..the best thing I have ever done for my health.

 Welcome to the SWEET HOME ALABAMA boards!Glad to have you.I am in Gulf Shores,Alabama.(LA) I haven't had any surgery yet but I have been overweight for quite awhile.I am however going to the surgeons office for the second time in 2 years.I am currently 375 lbs. and stand 5' 6" I was 5' 10" so I shrunk...lol.I know you will find comfort in our family here! We are a God fearing bunch.We are glad you are here!
