Anyone have surgery in Mexico and follow up in Alabama?

I am having my Lapband surgery here in Al, but my bff is having her's in Mexico, but she needs to follow up here, does anyone have a surgeon who does follow up and fills on Patients banded in Mexico.

I don't know anyone that had lapband in Mexico However, I have a friend that her and her daughter had the sleeve done in January in Mexico.
They have done very well.

I had Lapband last year and I LOVE IT!  It has changed my life and health.  The Lapband board has several people who have had Lapband in Mexico. I have not been to the boards today so if you posted there, hopefully you will get a great deal of response.

It is a good thing she is finding a doctor first.  A friend of mine on the Lapboard board from the South said she had a terrible time finding a doctor who would "take" her because of the possibility of "legal ramifications" should the Band develop problems from the initial implant. For whatever that is worth, I was unsure, but that's her story.

Good luck with your surgery. Where are you having it?  Let us know. There are a lot of great people here and on the Lapband board who will give you lots of support, encouragement, and healthy advice.  I used Dr. Miles too and absolutely loved him and his staff.  My experience was excellent and I hope the same for you.

I had a friend who had her surgery in Mexico and she finaly found on in GA. that would do fills for her. none of the suergoens her would do them.
