I have a date!!!

Consult on December 16th! Surgery January 3rd!!!!! Okay, now I'm nervous!

and I feel real fortunate to get this opportunity. I am so excited but also have so much apprehension....not really about the decision to have the surgery but about all the other things: the epidural, the tubes and stuff....I don't mind needles too much but I work myself into such a nervous state before any type of medical procedure that I make myself sick. Bottom line...I must get it done to give me the ability to prolong my life. I know it is all up to me once the surgery is over.

hello. Dr Baker was my surgeon also. My surgery was nov 5, 2003. Dr Baker is great and you have nothing to worry about. Good luck and best wishes to you

I am now awaiting my consult and hope to get my surgery date real soon, how exciting! Don't be nervous. If you have thought this through really good, there is nothing to be nervous about and all of use here will be here for you. Just keep us posted on how you are doing and make sure someone posts for you right after your surgery. Pat

I didn't even have to wait...approval was immediate. I am really lucky to have such good insurance.
