Okay, we have a Gripe of the Day thread, which I think is awesome because it's always good to get something off your chest that's bugging you. But if we're gonna have a Gripe of the Day then I think we also need to have a "TELL US SOMETHING GOOD" thread ... Something positive had to happen during the course of your day, right? So share it with us!

Shall I start? I have a few ...

--- My apartment building is being tented for termite fumigation next week, and we are being paid $200 for the inconvenience of having to be out of our homes for two nights. Some people will use that money for a hotel, but I can stay with my sister for free and use the money as a rent credit.

--- Today I had the chance to meet up with an old friend whom I had not seen in SIX YEARS! I was a little nervous, I'll admit ... But once he arrived and gave me a hug, I was instantly as comfortable with him as I remember being six years ago! I enjoyed the time we spent together, although it was short, and I look forward to being able to hang out with him more often now that we've gotten back in touch!

--- Valley Nutrition had the peanut butter and strawberry Oh Yeah! bars in stock today! Yay for yummy protein!

--- Being able to work as much overtime as I have lately means that there's a little more wiggle room in my "budget" (such as it is) ... This week that wiggle room allowed me to put together a care package for a friend who is struggling a bit right now. This is something I have wanted to do for a while now, but the money was an issue ... It makes me happy to be able to send him something that will make him smile AND make his life a little easier for a little while.

--- I get to go into work tonight for MORE overtime! I am beyond excited to see my paycheck next week!

Hi Lauren Marie!  What a totally groovy idea!  Always good to count our blessings!

1.  Having a job I love most days!  lol

2.  Moving to a new apt that we love, close to work, great walking area, and a pool!

3. My husband who is so supportive and knows me better than I do myself

4.  Putting a bathing suit on this week for the first time in MANY years and swimming.

5.  Noticing the other day that there is more room between me and the steering wheel in my little 93 Corolla than there used to be... Hmm

6.  On that same note, I noticed that the Journey pendant that my husband gave me for our first wedding anniversary is hanging lower these days, less of me in the neck area for it to go around... Yes!

7. This time next week we'll be in Paso Robles to spend the night on the way to Big Basin Redwoods for a wonderful week long  Camp Fire camping trip with beloved family and friends!

Ok, I'll leave some bandwidth for someone else to post...xo  Kim

I cannot wait until I can wear a bathing suit ... Hell, I can't wait until I can wear SHORTS! I can live without a bathing suit! LOL! And oh wow - the car thing ... My stomach no longer rubs against the steering wheel and I no longer feel like my enormous hips are squished into the seat ... It's an amazing feeling, isn't it?

Hi!

Being part of rescuing 2 kayakers last night.  It sure made me feel good to help!
Having a facial  made me feel beautiful.
Being able to spend the next 2 days with a good friend.
Being able to meet the central valley OH group for lunch on Sunday.
Being able to live near the beach and have nature all around me.
Having my folks come to visit next week.
Mom loves the beach and can enjoy it every day here.
Dad loves fixing things and I have plenty of things that need to be fixed. lol
Losing 15 lbs since my RNY!
Yep, life is good!

Rescuing two kayakers? Wow!

Ya know, I know everyone is different, but the facial didn't do much for me ... I dunno ... It wasn't an unpleasant experience but I was like, "I paid $55 for this?" I think it's just cuz I'm not into the girly-girl stuff.

Sounds like you've got a lot going on over the next week or so! Don't forget to get some rest!
