OT Randy Pausch

This is way OT, but I was just sad to hear that this remarkable man passed away yesterday.  For those of you who never heard of him, he was a professor of computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon University who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in his mid 40s.  Happily married with 3 little ones.  He decided to give his "Last Lecture" and it turned into a stint on Oprah, a best selling book that he really did for his 3 children to tell them about life and how to look at it and face things and a life changing experience for anyone who heard him.  Here's the link to the his page where he kept a journal of his experience with the "elephant in the room"  ..http://download.srv.cs.cmu.edu/~pausch/news/index.html

God bless his family and friends and God bless you Randy Pausch, you are an inspiration to me.

He was on other shows as well as Oprah, he was also featured on Dr Phil. I hate it when Oprah gets all the credit for stuff....

He was a remarkable man....that's for sure....

What a wonderful person he was.  It is a sad day.  I would hope I could be so positive.

Thank you for posting Kim.  I kept meaning to listen to his lecture and this evening I finally MADE time.  I'm truly saddened by his death.  I need to put into practice so much of what he said.  Too much to do, too little time.  I'll listen to it again in 30 days to see if I've made any improvements.  He was an inspiration.
