I order everything through Bariatric Advantage. Citracal use to have these little fudgey calcium bites. They dis-continued them. Bariatric Advantage has been trying for 2 years to buy the rights & start manufacturing the product - Well - I just got an email - they are on pre-order for end of this month ship dates.

A 60 count bacg is $9.99 & if you buy 3 you get 1 free plus the price goes down to $7.49

Normally I would not share this with anyone  - But I know that lots of people have been waiting for this product:  Here is a line from the email I got:

The Bariatric Advantage® Calcium Citrate Chewy Bites have been designed
with the weight loss surgery patient in mind.  They are sugar-free and only
have 15 calories per chew, far below the levels previously found in early
products.  The initial flavor is chocolate and will be followed next by
lemon cream.

If you want more info - Go to their website or send me a message.  I just placed my order for 1 bag & my total was just over $14.00.

The lady on the phone said that they taste similar to Tootsie Rolls - YUMMY!!!

I received this email as well. I love the idea of the chewy bites, however we need 1500-1600mg of calcium per day. The chewy bites only provide 250mg of calcium per chewy bite. Which means you would need to eat 6-7 per day. I already take 4 of the cinnamon lozenges per day. And if you buy the 270 count package for $29.99, it lasts you 39-45 days. The 270 count of the lozenges that I get last me 68 days. So to me it doesn't make financial sense to buy these.

See - I have a very sensitive pouch. NO Calcium for 8 months has gone down. I am desperate to get something to work!

Cost wise - For me - As long as I can get it in -I AM 100% for it at this point. But, I get what you mean.

You may want to also look into Tropical Oasis liquid calcium citrate. I've had issues with calcium as well and this is the only other form of calcium I can stand. I'm looking forward to trying the chewy bites just for the change.

I just had my surgery and was browsing vitamins when I decided on Bariatric Advantage. To me, it doesn't matter the cost, as long as I love what I am getting! And they have really be touting this product, and I trust Bariatric Advantage.

So, more money? Maybe. Better? IMHO, definitely!
