Yea!! We made it!!! It was not looking good at the start but it got easier as the days passed!! I'm still eatting foods from day 3!!

I want to thank everyone that played along this week. Last week when I came up the the idea to start the 5 day!! My eating was out of control!! I'm glad to have some control back.

Now comes hardest part!! What are you going to do now?? Keep going or slip back into old habbits??
I know I can't eat like this forever but I can make better choices.

This morning I'm down another pound that puts me at
9lbs for the 5-DPT!!

Have a great weekend!!!

Happy Friday Kevin and 5-DPTer's.
I am so happy I joined you guys.  Although, I am only 8 months out I still need to be put in check.  My eating wasn't horrible but I was battling the Carb's and the damn Girl Scout Cookies, those should be banned.
I am also still eating things from day 3 and made a meal last night with ground beef.
I am also down another 2 pounds for a total of -10.  OMG!  I have not lost 10 pounds almost the entire year.
I am going to follow the rules and try to get off the next 8 pounds putting me below 200.  I am so excited and honestly I feel great.

I may even do the 5 DPT one more time this month.

We did it!!!!!  No change on the scale again.....so I'm only down the original 5 I lost the first two days, but that's ok.  Still eating the foods from day 3 also, except for my Chipotle burrito bowl with NO rice last night (thank you Chipotle for FREE food to celebrate the grand opening!!!).  I do notice my eating is much more in control now, and I haven't touched sugary drinks (lemonade, soda) in 5 days....that's a great thing because that was an old habit that crept back on to me.  I've also traded my Starbucks Peppermint Mocha's for plain coffee with a bit of half and half and splenda.  The control is coming back, but I realize it will always be a battle I have to be aware of to continue to conquer.  It's so easy to say "Oh...this ONE time won't hurt", but that one time leads to two, two leads to everyday.

Yep....who would've thought my kid would be dragging me out of bed at 10:00 p.m. two nights in a row to make Salmon Patties for him.  I was laughing last night when he was in the kitchen and said "mom....you actually MADE them?"....he thought I was just heating up something frozen.  LOL

Yeah... it's day 5.

Yesterday, day 4, was the first day I actually felt full after eating.  I think I have one big ol' pouchy!  I'm down another .5 pound making my total so far 4.5 pounds.

Thanks for the 5DPT challenge, Kevin...  I'm sure I wouldn't have done it without your prompting!  And - I needed to do it.  Now the goal is to keep it moving forward...
