Rotten kids!  I agree with Maureen, if they find the kids that did, they need to make them clean it up!

I am feeling ok. I have to get out of the pity mode I have been in for the past week.  Just not sure how to do it.  I am looking forward to Coffee this Saturday.

I am probably going to have to move back in with my brother for a while.  I'm just having such a hard time financially .  I have brought up the idea to my daughter. who of course is not happy about it, but I have to do what I have to do. 

My brother has a huge house in long beach and he has a 5th wheel in his driveway (back yard) which he will hook up to electric/sewer etc. So we would have some privacy. 

I have been looking for a one bedroom apt or a little back house to rent, but haven't had much luck.  I have a little dog, and most rentals are just not dog friendly.

Good morning Cali!

Just a quick type-by this morning.  Janine, we have had the same problem with taggers on this campus as well.  Almost a daily occurrence!  I don't get the bit about milk instead of water, doesn't make a lot of sense, but then again, a lot of things lately don't.  Like giving out bail out money to companies who use that for bonuses for employees...go figure.

I'm ready for Friday too.

I am here. Pain is reducing itself thank goodness. I got to eat strained cream soup last night and I ate to much and felt horrible. Still haven't eaten anything today cause the feeling is not totally gone. Anywho, I am down 12 lbs!! since my surgery 7 days ago. Is that normal to lose so much. My Mom is worried about me. She lives 500 miles away and she is always checking in on me now. I have always been one that gets cold easily, but now I am even colder. I am layered like crazy trying to keep warm.

BTW It is so hard to get in all the water. I am up to 32 oz a day. I have always gotten in my water till now. What is the problem??

What an awesome shout out lady!  You are just amazing how you remember everything.  I've made my 1st week out post op and doing better and better each day.  Wake up each morning realizing something doesn't hurt...don't burb as much.something is always 'better'.

Yesterday was running errands and started on the income taxes.  I was really way too lax in keeping track of all the deductibles and now I can't find the checkbook from my old bank. Old age is the pits!  No, I don't really recognize that 60 is around the corner;  I maybe getting older..but I refuse to act my age! LOL

Finally heard from Kaiser yesterday and I've been given the green light to fully emerge into stage 2 foods...even the tomato soup I was concerned about.  I've been able to increase my water to around 25oz and getting all my vitamins in befor bedtime.  I even get to return to 'normal' activities as long as I don't try to pick up more than 20lbs....heck, I don't pick up anything! LOL  I have decided to try to mow the front lawn today...great exercise and I have an electric mower so no pushing or pulling...hubby isn't too happy (concerned I'll over-do)but I have got to pick up the activity/exercise and walking is so boreing.  Weather is suppose to get to over 75 by weeks end so asked him to get the bikes down so we can start riding together.

Yahoo...he just asked me if I want to go to a couple of  2nd hand stores...more exercise..just walking thru the stores...and who knows? maybe I'll find a 'treasure' to sell on Ebay ^_^

I also agree with Maureen about those taggers. Catch them and make them clean it up! NO water??? that doesn't make sense.

sammi's party was a lot of fun. We had a great turn out and everything went smoothly. I was exhausted when it was over but had a blast doing it. Sammi really had a good time too. I'll try to find a good picture to post.

I'm opposite of everyone this week. I DO NOT want Friday to come. My older daughter is here from Idaho visiting for spring break and we drive her back to the airport friday. I want this week to take as long as possible. we are all having a great time and I just love having her here.

Good afternoon Janine and Cali crew!!! Slept in today and it is Friday for someone, ME!!!!
Thanks for the great shout out as usual Janine! We hope you can make it to a lunch again soon! Work is great, busy busy busy! You really can NOT tell that there is a resession going on when you step into our casino. It's kind of crazy how busy we get and how many HOURS people wait for our buffet!! We are starting an expansion on the buffet, AGAIN, because the demand is so high!  VERY thankful to have a job and one that I LOVE at that!!!
I hope they catch the rotten kids that did the damage to your school, how maddening, and hopefully they will be punished adequately!!!! So glad they didn't touch your beautiful mural, thank you God!!!

Good afternoon!  I am new to this forum.  My BFF is a principal of an elementary school and just hates the taggers.  She has the one that have been caught help clean up the campus.

Glad to see there are lots of good Cali people in the same boat as me.  I wish you all the best.  I am still in the infancy of this journey.  Waiting for a surgery date.

Good Afternoon Cali,

Well, I am at home because I am in so much pain from running the Inaugual Redux Pasadena Half Marathon this past Sunday.

I promise, as a runner to never go 5 months without training again.  My body is saying "WTF?"   I was so sore yesterday, that my boss sent me home at Noon.  First chance I get, I will post the recap of the race.
