Good Monday Morning Cali!

Okay I am trying to figure out how Monday morning happened?? Can anyone explain this? Better yet...can anyone explain why the friggin birds in the hood have to be singing at 2 in the morning? Okay I made it for another hour in bed mulling over should I get u*****t....so I waited until 3!

So can we say....Good Monday Morning Gang?

For all of you teachers and workers in the school system, I truly hope that you had a good spring break....I know it is tough to go back as this is just a tease for the big countdown now!  Of course the students think school is over with as soon as the state tests are done! We start ours next week....oh what a joy... awful schedules....kids who do not care....schluping test booklets and crap across the campus....it will be comfy shoes for those 2 weeks for sure!

So did you all have a good weekend for those who had to work the week before?

I managed to stay active all weekend. I did not go to the opera in the park yesterday because my shoulders and neck were sunburnt. You could tell where I did not get the sunblock on and the irony was that I really wasn't burned from the hike...it was from being in the car with the top down because the back of my neck and back of my shoulders are not burnt. So I could not sit at the park and hope to have shade and I was not about to cover up because it was over 100 here yesterday. The weather people promised that it wouldn't hit triple digit until today...and oh yeah it is going to hit! 105 out where I teach today. I am like come on...it is still April!!!

So I puttered around town yesterday looking for another one of those tea sets I got Ava for Rhonda's girls and could not find it. I even went back to the one where I got it...and nope all gone!

Speaking of Ava...like that is so hard to do....she is starting her at First School today...it is going to be a bit weird for her. She likes it in her new classroom, but I am thinking once mommy walks out, she is going to start crying for sure...maybe even mommy! The school is about 2 miles from where I teach and I will be able to take her part of the time and pick her up also...so I will have both of my grandbabies after school...not a shabby thought!

So lets hear how fabulous your weekend was....I hope you all got out there and enjoyed that weather because I think it was pretty good up and down the state!

You all have a super terrific day....remember as the Great Luana says...someone out there loves you...and I am sure there are lots of people out there who love each and everyone of yourselves...and yes...you need to learn to love yourself!!!

Ya where did Monday come from? I had the weekend off and it went way too fast. Yesterday I got a Migraine from the smell of the chemicals in the spa while trying to make my muslces relax. Oh well atleast I got to enjoy the outdoors first.
So I guess it is back to work, I actually like my job so it isnt all that bad. Still I would love to be sleeping still or atleast curled up in bed. Oh well early to work means I get off earlier!!
Hope everyone has a good Monday and things go good. Be good to yourselves and those around you.

The weekend is done now off to fight through another week of work. The weekend was good! Relaxed and spent time with Kirsten. Now I'm off to the gym before I start another week and start the count down to the weekend!!

Yep!  this weekend went way, way too fast!  It didn't help that I have been sick either.  Instead of being out side enjoying this beautiful weather I was inside sleeping much of the weekend.  Oh well, I am getting better and that is what matters.

Back to work today and a doctor's appointment for my wrist and then off to the dentist.

Janine - I know how you are dragging this morning after the week off...my sister works for the school district and I KNOW she was dreading today.....

I had a good weekend - made some cash on Sat as I said then yesterday just vegged at home - cleaned out the storage in my car port and sorted through some craft stuff that is stored out there...then in the afternoon when it got so blazing hot I went down to the pool and got a little sun...but I was careful cause this tummy has not seen sun in probably 50 years....yep - you guessed it - I had on a bikini - now its not really low on the bottom....just below my belly button but the top is one of those string tie kind.....OMG I don't think I have EVER EVER worn a bathing suit top like that - at least not in my adult life.  And I must say it looked pretty darn good since the twins are so nice and perky...lol.....yep I was looking pretty darn good.  IF you didn't look at the awful thighs..but hey when you are laying out or in the water you can't see them.  I got a little color but not burned so that is a good thing plus I even worked in some exercise while in the water...woo hoo.....

Today I am off to get my nails and toes done then get a few groceries and thats about it...maybe another trip to the pool.....

Everyone have a great day and stay hydrated...I don't think it is supposed to be as hot today as yesterday....I see that it hit 97 here in SB yeaterday and I have to agree with Janine - GIVE ME A BREAK ITS STILL APRIL.

Morning Janine and Cali . . . I'd say "Happy Monday" . . . but who am I kidding?  OK for you who love hot weather . . . you got it . . .me - I don't do heat at all . . .and it hit 100 at my house - which has no insulation (even though the landlady swears it does) . . . so it STAYED over 100 all night it seems INSIDE . . .

Little Myla had her birthday yesterday - even though it is actually today.  I got the neatest red velvet Christmas dress for $13 yesterday that will fit her this year - and then I decided it would be a family hand me down for each little girl as they get to that age . . . gonna write names and year inside as it gets handed around  . . . I was on a wierd kick I guess . . .but it is so cute.

The knee is getting better . . . doubt I will try it today at lunch because - to hot to walk - so that means time hopefully it will be cooler when I get home from work at 6 (which also sucks)  . . . or I'll be at the gym on the treadmill (which is boring).

Son's background check is finally in progress for the Monterey job . . . please get this moving!  At least it is a good sign.  He alread has a security clearance - so what is the hang up?  Government !

I am one pooped momma this morning.  My child does not do well in the heat and she flipped and flopped all night long.  I might have to seriously look into getting that crip put up. 

Our weekend was lovely.  Lots of time outside and playing and I even managed to get all my school work done for the wekk.  Now on tho the next.

Had a great day yesterday.  It was warm in Sausilito but not too bad.  Now back to the work grind, can't wait until Thursday.  We are going down south to pick up my parents.  Then we are all going to Las Vegas.  So this is a short week for me--Yeah!!

Good Morning California!!!

Today is going to be a GREAT day, despite this heat wave we're getting! It's APRIL and it's supposed to hit 90 in the Bay Area... yes the San Francisco BAY AREA!!!! Wheeewww!! It's gonna be a hot one!! Oh well, why?? Because today I start my own verison of boot camp! I've got until June (my own goal date) to drop the rest of my pre-surgery weight loss!! I WILL go to the gym today, I WILL drag my hot tired body into that place and enjoy every second... well maybe not every second, but I hope close enough!!

I hope everyone has a great week and let me say to all those that work for the school districts... I'm so jealous... I haven't seen a spring break of summer vacation since I graduated highschool :0( So sad!! Hah

WOW I can't believe it is already Monday!  The weekend went way too fast for me and next weekend isn't going to be any less busy. 

Next Saturday, I am running 26 miles for my training program.  If anyone is interested in coming out for the celebration let me know.
