CLASSES OF 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 Thank You and......
Hi there! Class of '03 here. :-) I am usually here everyday checking in to see what is going on - but between work and BTV and taking care of aging parents and such - time is short.. So I don't get to post or respond as much as I would like to.
Geez.. I used to practically live on the forums.. where did all that extra time in the day go?
I am doing just fine. I am about 15lbs above where I would like to be and 15lbs really matters! Way back when 15lbs wouldn't have even put a dent in any sort of clothing choices.. now its like a size or two. So, I have been focused on getting it off. It WAS 20lbs and I did the mental head slap telling myself I had to get off my ass (literally) and get these lbs off. 5 lbs down over the last few weeks.. It is so much easier to focus on losing 15 - 20 lbs vs 150 - 200 lbs..
Hope everyone is doing a-okay! Happy Monday Cali!

I check in occasionally, and support the newbies when I think I have something to add.
I like seeing the old faces chime in, thanks for posting Sue!
Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Hey all...Class of "06". Am doing well. I check in almost daily also...Only post on something I think would help...Not big into the nuturing type of thing, but here for support and help. Have enjoyed the "Cali Board" and the occasional lunch in the Modesto area. I think what we need is a gool ol' Lap Band, DS, RNY arguement going on...Let the sparks fly type of thing...Just kidding!! I'm walking and riding my bike daily (had my second heart attack in July...first one was 9 years ago). Try to do it for 45-60 minutes per day. As I'm writing here...I'm drinking my McDonalds coffee...$1.00 Get a refill and take it home for the next day. I still try and make it to the local support group meeting (won't go tonight). I don't like to go to the support groups when a psychologist or plastic surgeon is the speaker...feels like it's a sales pitch rather than support. Anyways...one of these years I'd like to come down to your Tom's Farm functions...Just to put names, faces, and voice inflections togeather. Take care...and thanks for the support over the years. Brian
Hey there...Everything is going just well. Still exercising and fighting 3 years out. It's not an easy thing....

Still wearing a size 38 .....shirts-a few med but mostly large! Still under goal!

Most of us are probably around every now and then. I'm mostly "then". LOL Anyway guess I'm class of 2004.
How am I doing...pretty sucky actually, Well not really. But after having lost over 250 pounds in two years, in the last two years I have put back 70 of those. No excuses. Just went back to all the bad habits. Eating sugar, white carbs, and not exercising.
Newbee's, take heed, after your "honeymoon period" is over, you are pretty much back to where you started. No, I can't eat quite as much at a sitting as I used to, but I'm also pretty much always hungry. Food seems to go right through my pouch if it isn't dense protein. And it doesn't stay in there that long either. Things I used to dump on, I don't dump on any longer.
I had a hysterectomy 5 weeks ago and am feeling very good since that, but I also realized I'd never get back on track myself. So about a week and 1/2 ago I joined Lindora. Just like the old days I guess. But this time I have only 70 to 100 pounds to lose. A much easier number to look at than over 250 pounds. I can see the light at the end. So far I have lost 10 1/2 pounds so I'm on my way. But as I said, enjoy your honeymoon period, but change your habits. They operate on our stomachs, not our heads. That's work all of you must do for yourself. Do it and succeed. Don't and gain your weight back. So when you say 100 pounds gone forever, unless your head truly believes that, trust me, it's not.

Hey Steph...I hope you are recovering okay!!! Also I wish you much success with Lindora...I buy their food on line actually. I like the apple custard protien pudding and mix it in my greek yogurt and you want to talk about dense protien...egads, but good!!! Take care of yourself and heal well...you will be successful!

I wish that mixture were dense protein, but for me, it's slider. Anything mushy goes right through. Just like I've eaten nothing but rather just had a glass of water. Dense protein for me is a chicken breast, beef, pork etc. Basically solid protein that I have to chew is the only thing that stays in my pouch for even a little while.
