HELP, bad tooth, can't see dentist till Friday- what meds?

Any suggestions??  I know NSAIDS, aspirin are off limits, so what are my options?

Extra strength Tylenol. I take Vicodin for extreme pain. Hope you feel better soon.

Have the dentist start you on antibiotics.  Most of the pain will stop in a day or so, it has worked like that for me.  Good luck!!

Great idea!!  My dentist was kind enough to send a prescription to the pharmacy for me to start on Penicillin.  Together with the tylenol, I should be fine until Friday.  Thanks for your answers!

When you get the antibiotic take two right away the sooner you get them into your system the better you will feel after that you take one tab every 6 hours till gone make sure you take them all dont stop taking them because the pain went away continue to take them the reason its hurting is because the nerve in the tooth is dying when it hurts that bad you most likely will need a root canal hope that helps good luck til friday

The best natural thing you can do is to put oil of clove on the tooth that will help with the pain.  Great that you got antibiotics though.  But for instant relief Oil of Clove is the best.

OMG!!!!! Clove oil!  That reminds me of last summer.  I had some teeth problems and had exhausted my dental benefits for the year so I was trying to get by without having to pay cash for everything.  I bought a little teeth kit that had clove oil in it and applicators.  It was absolutely the nastiest thing I have ever tasted!!!!  BUT, it worked very well.

I agree with Jillie,  Clove oil really does work to cut down on the immediate pain. Take tylenol.
