Feliz Cinco de Mayo to all.
Off to work today, not too much exciting for me. No potlucks (thank goodness) and leftovers for dinner so I am fairly safe!
Janine, this week is going to go fine, think positive on all accounts. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Rhonda, I sure hope your little footie gets better, you can't be keeping up with your gang on a bad foot, well,knowing you, you could! You little energizer bunny you.
Chris, have a blast in the mouses house today, I am so jealous. One of these days I'll get down there for a visit.

Our camping trip was a success and Tom and I are officially retired. We had so much fun with our new trailer and we are ready to take off and see the USA. Our next trip is going to be out maybe at Joshua tree. We aren't sure when, but we want to go before it gets too hot.
Janine, You are in my Prayers for your surgery on Friday you are going to be fine. Just keep us updated, we are here to help. Teacher of the Year, you deserve it my Friend. You are very humble and I know you don't like the feeling of attention , but again you are a good teacher and you put your heart and soul into things that you enjoy.
Jean, Woo Hoo Girlfriend!!! I am so happy you are seeing Dave. When I met him at LB Coffee, I thought you two make the cutest couple. He was a very nice gentleman. Enjoy your life my friend, this is part of the journey. Have fun at the Revlon race this Sunday. I want to do it next year, if I am here.

Gotta run, doing laundry from our camping trip and I have to start working on addressing envelopes for my daughters wedding. I want to have that done and out of the way. Tomorrow I am going to have a cat scan on the tumor under my arm. Please say a prayer.

So happy you were able to take a stressful appt and turn it into a fun experience...it has been sooooo many years since I have been to the Santa Monica pier...what a cool place. ^_^ And you sound like my sister, who is also a very creative person art wise, when she finds a new 'supply' store...darn near impossible to get her out of it once she enters LOL
My day is same oh, same oh as far as work...working on books so we can have our annual Budget meeting on the 21st. Unfortunately, it looks like no raises this year...too many of our members have had to downsize or are out of business altogether...wouldn't go over too well if our staff asked them to cough up money when the industry (and everybody!) is struggling in this 'recession'. But at least I'll be ok...being the bookkeeper, I saw this coming 6months ago...and have tightened my belt accordingly. I'm just thankful to have my job and to not have to worry about it.
And on that word, it is time I started working at the job LOL I so appreciate each and everyone of you...for the support, the encouragement, the laughs, the shareing...all of it! Be good to yourselves today...do something just for YOU....You all are so special!

Not too much going on today, besides work. Totally uninspired to be here, especially since we are doing testing.
Getting ready to do the Revlon Walk this Saturday, so I'm trying to get some extra walking in etc. So...what's the best thing to wear to something like this? Workout pants? Any advice you can give to a "newbie" to this will be greatly appreciated. Hehe...you'd think I was doing a marathon.

Workout pants are good. Just something comfortable since you're walking! Last time I wore my "jogging" suit and was cool with that, cause in the am it was cold and then I just took the jacket part off =)

Happy Cinco de Mayo all! I'm here in dreary drizzly No California hoping to head back to bed. That ain't gonna happen so instead I am here working feverishly on my backlog of work. Ugh.
Ho****er heater is still not working correctly. I elbowed the old man this morning at 5:20 to get up and go light it and he wouldn't budge so I had to go do it. Not HAPPY! That damn thing needs to get replaced here soon!

I hope you are all doing well today. I am not feeling to swift today. My supper didn't agree with me last night. I quess salad is out for awhile
. I would be at work otherwise. I don't think they had a potluck planned for today. We don't do to many of them here,thank goodness.
I went and saw my PCP yesterday, it went well, but I am still on my BP med, actually we are changing it to something else. My potassum is low, and the BP med I was taking could be partly to blame. I was hoping I could just get rid of it all together, but no such luck. Oh well. I would rather take it, then have a stroke.
I am just going to lay low today. So far so good with food this morning. Hope that continues. Have a great day everyone.

Janine- glad your pre-op with Dr. Katzen went well. I wish you nothing but success on your surgery. As far as the Teacher of the Year Award, just go with the flow. You deserve it. Glad you had fun in L.A.
Jean- I am so happy to hear that you have a "friend". I hope all goes well for you.
I have been so busy recently that I don't know what to do. I just found out that my favorite yarn store will be closing by the middle of next month. ((((SAD))))
I have 17 more days before I leave for my Alaskan cruise. I am so excited.
