Good Saturday Morning Cali

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to Saturdays edition here on the boards and brought to you from the warm CA desert!

I have not been outside yet this morning and have not been out, but the weather is gonna be a toaster today for much of the south land and I am sure up in NorCal you all are going to have some toasty weather also. Summer has sprung here for sure! Expecting highs in the triple digits here today....right around 104 to 107 here today!

Much to my surprise yesterday when I picked up the phone, I got a call from Nikki!!! OMG she sounds terrific for just going through surgery. I am so happy for her that Kaiser saw fit to continue with her reconstructive surgery and make her look better than ever!!!! She really is a great gal!!!

Miss Becky you are a great angel to her also....nice to have people like you that can be counted on....much ike I can with Rhonda....nothing higher in my book is when people put their money where their mouth is so to speak!!! BTW Becky what is the news????

LuLu and Rhonda good luck with that 10k today!!It is going to be warm out there so make sure you bring plenty of water with you!!! I am looking forward to reading about all the exciting details!!!

Liz I hope you had a great birthday celebration and that you are out and about enjoying this great weather on your bike!

Stacie I sure hope that you have a relaxing weekend. You are right dumb girl to talk back regardless of the times!

Delores, I know I must have missed something about your dad...what happened? I sure hope that he gets healed up soon. Where did you mom go on a cruise? Lucky her!

Michele I hope that everything went okay with the ultrasound, but no eating or drinking with an ultrasound? I know it must have been tough for sure! Oh and surprises...you have been one of those people who surprised me too....you really are a sweetheart. Have fun at your support group today!

Maureen I know you are down in Clearlake hopefully having loads of fun too...you sure get around girl!

Karen sounds good hightailing it to the beach today. I bet it is going to be crowded there with the nice weather we are having. Almost 2 weeks ago I was at the beach at Santa Monica and it sure was nice...sometimes I miss being so close to the ocean, but I would not give up living out here to go back. Have a nice time today and a great weekend!

Eileen I am loving hearing about the writing contest your nephew entered!! That is so cool!!! I hope that when it gets published that you can get a copy and share it with us here. That is very impressive!!!! Did you get to the gym?

Julie you make sure you take care of yourself because you have a crammed packed week ahead of you. You will do fine on your tests....I use to just love that pressure of school....I know sounds weird, but what an accomplished feeling!!! Did you find a new pair of black pants? You have been doing so well with your pouch!!! YOu keep on going gf!

Kim where are you going on the cruise??? I am so envious!!! I would love to get to go on a cruise....maybe next year!!!! I will be looking forward to hearing all about it!!

Naomi...sure hope that you have a terrific day of relaxation with your daughter......how nice you get to be spoiled and pampered!

Josie you need Rhonda's skills of organization to get that junk room in order! I have never seen anything like it the way she works! It is really amazing!!!!

Terry it sounds like you really have a full weekend planned or that people have it planned LOL Happy early birthday to you...and isn't it the truth that those grandkids have more energy than they know what to do with? I, like you, wish I had a fraction of it!!!! Have a good support group meeting, I am sure you are excellent at it!

Okay I am a schlub and tired already and fried so that is my story and I am sticking to it. I want to go back to bed and get some more rest I think....I get to go and see doc today where he is speaking out here in the desert and hopefully get some badanges off and take a real shower!!!

So just because I did not shout you out does not mean I do not care about you all because I do....lot to remember!!!

I hope you are feeling better, so you can enjoy the toasty warm weather out there in the desert. I am going to the OC support meeting in Huntington Beach this morning, should be loads of fun. I did a little retail therapy last night. I got some makeup from Estee Lauder, they have a lipstick that I love. Then I treated myself to a gold ankle bracelet, it is so cute. I like to wear a lot of dresses lately and thought it would bring a little more attention to my skinny legs..lol Then I picked up a new pair of shorts. I just love the brand, NYDJ, they ahve the best tummy control panel in them! They are a little pricey but I figured when I shrink too much I can always pass them along to someone else who will love them as much as I did.

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends,

Janine you sound like you are feeling so much better and I hope that's the case.  Thanks for the wonderful shout out, they always make me smile and are a wonderful start to the day.

I ran to the Chiro early yesterday a.m. and didn't get a chance to post and then never did again until late last night.

It's going to be in the 90's here today.  I love the warmer weather though, but don't like it when I have to be out running around in it if there is no air conditioning! 

We will take a practice run to Cal today to make sure we know where we're going to park and the entrance to the Greek theater that the tolks will need to go though (they will be using wheelchairs due to the inclines there) and our general seating will be.  We're all wearing shirts (yellow and gold) with Ron's name and Cal and Degree and Priceless! on them.)  It's silly but fun.

So today is shopping for the reception our friend Steve will be giving for Ron and of course for other stuff too.

I am heading to the chiropractor this morning to work on my neck and left shoulder.  I don't have a clue of what I did to cause this but I just think it's getting older! LOL

Good Morning Janine & Everyone,
It was good talking to you yesterday, it was nice to have someone who could understand the bleck I am in right now. Last night I slept a little better, but slept past the time to take meds this morning so I woke up in MASS PAIN!!! They are finally kicking in now, thank goodness. Of course today is all resting and recovering for me. Lots of naps and emptying drains, lol. I am hoping the chest ones can come out Monday when my pain pump is removed, there is very little drainage from them. I hope you get some bandages off and a shower, I want a shower. I want the binders off,they are itching.
Oh well back to the recliner and comfort. Hope everyone has a good day. Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!

I am so happy that you get out of the house today and I will be thinking of you today when you see the doctor and that hopefully you get some badanges off....oh, a real shower....how wonderful those are...well if you do...take your time and enjoy it!!!!  BTW...did you have Dr. Katzen?

How nice it was to sleep in until 6:30am....
Oh...it sure is going to be a beautiful day here in San Dimas...I have a support group meeting this morning...which I LOVE and it is not to far, so I walk to it...

My youngest daughter came into town last night to spend the night with the baby....well, here and her and her boyfriend.  They got a motel room (just one night), go figure...homeless in San Diego and now has money for a room....ok, enough of my ranting.

So without the baby today...I am going to get do some long awaiting yard work.....and some relaxing!!!

And, Rhonda and Lulu have a great day at your 10k today!!!

Great shout out as usual....I depend on you to keep me updated since I haven't been on the boards to much lately - just busy I guess.

Today is supposed to be a beautiful day - I sure don't mind the heat like I used to.  This morning I am babysitting both great nieces.  Taking the older one to her dance class at 11 then watching them until mom gets home about 1:30.  After that I am going to go watch Daves baseball team pllay their first game.  He is a coach for 15-16 year olds at Heartwell park.  Should be fun - definitely something different for me.  Then this evening is a party at my nephews for his birthday and maybe out later tonight to hear a great group play some mellow blues at the El Dorado (local restaurant/bar).

i so wanted to go to the OC support group meeting this morning but the babysitting came up last minute and family comes first.  Darn it...but next time for sure.  Oh Julie - don't you just LOVE retail therapy.  I do alot of that....in fact went to wal mart and got some shorts yesterday...I so love buying size 8 and 10 - what a trip it is for me mentally.  Oh and Janine - I went to Nordstroms with my sis on Thursday and had my MAC therapy......Yes I am addicted.

ok well I guess I better run - have to be there at 8:00 ...

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

I know I have been MIA lately, but as I mentioned before, my computer was broken and I was borrowing a friends laptop for a bit.  Well I am back in the real world now.  My brother fixed my computer for me.  Turns out it was only the power source (only a $50 part) LOL  but now I have my baby back and will be able to keep up with everyone now.  I have a lot of reading and catching up to do.  

Janine, you are quite an amazing lady.  You sound like you are doing great after your surgery.

I am off to the gym and then hopefully a relaxing day at home with my daughter.

Good morning Janine and Cali,

My dad fell last Saturday and broke his arm and dislocated his shoulder.  He is in pretty dad shape.  My mom went on a cruise to Mexico that did not go to Mexico--go figure!  They went to Catalina for one day and cruised around the ocean for 3 day.  At lease she got to relax.

I have friends here for the weekend, we will be going into the city.  It is tour guide time.  Probably walk the golden gate and go to china town.  It is supposed to be 80 plus in the city.  Which is hot for there, I am glad to be home, tour guide or not.

Counting down to surgery- June 1st is getting closer.  Hope everyone has a great day, stay cool.

How is everyone doing this morning? Looks like everyone is going to have warm and sunny weather today. I am more of a 70's degree girl, but I have noticed that the heat doesn't bother me as much as it used too. I am just about to head out to the gym and get that done with, so I can come clean the house and go to the grocery store. What fun things to do on a Saturday.

Janine, thanks for the shout out. If I can get a copy of my nephew's book, I will definitely share.
