APPROVED!!!

I received a call from Dr. Suh's office today saying I was approved!
I have completed all my labs including EKG and EKO. I have my appointment with Dr. Suh on the 11th of June! I am extremely excited!I was told I need a phyc test and I'm pretty much ok to go. Looking forward to sitting on the Losers Bench!

I was able to use my own Kaiser Psych Center for evaluation.  You do not need to go to the one that  Dr. Suh's office sends you too.  (She is in Rancho Cucamonga if I remember.)  Call the  Crown office and Kaiser office to be sure, if they say its ok..you can probably get into a Kaiser Psych before your visit with Dr. Suh...then it will be already in his hands by consultation, as you will take it with you.

Oh! I am soooooo jealous! I have Kaiser and I am still waiting on the call from his office! Congrats on getting approved! That's awesome!

Just curious, when did you finish your labs or classes?  My class ended April 10th and my labs were done three weeks ago last thursday.  I just want to gage how long the process took for you.  Thanks for the info!

My classes ended February 20th and I ended all my labs April 24th. It took a while because Kaiser changed their criteria and I had to prove there were other issues besides my weight gain. Debbie received my file May 4th and I received a call May 18th by Dr. Suh's office. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the information.  Debbie actually called me to day and told me that all of my labs are good and my file is ready but it cannot be processed without a letter from my psychiatrist!! Ahhhhh! I thought this might happen so thankfully I called 4 weeks ago and made an appt, but it still isn't until June 2.  Now I am calling them 3 times a day to check for cancellations! I am trying not to worry about it but it is so hard when I have been working towards this for almost 8 months! I was hoping to have had surgery by my birthday in July but I am not sure that is going to happen after all. thanks again for the info!

That's great you made your appointment for the psychiatrist ahead of time. I was told  by Dr. Suh's office that I couldn't see them (the psychiatrist) until I was seen by the surgeon (Dr. Suh) So what I did was made an appintment a few days after my appointment with Dr.Suh to see the psychiatrist before they get booked.

Congrats!!  Dr. Suh did my surgery almost 6 years ago.  He is the best.  You are in very good hands.
